Q:   Is B.A. LL.B. (Hons) at GGSIPU worth the investment?
    A:
    {Source: B.A. LL.B. (Hons) students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

    * Placement Cell: The placement cell is active, but placements are not very encouraging. Most students opt for individual advocacy or small law firms, offering average salaries ranging from INR3-INR4 Lacs per annum. Top roles offered are those of a legal associate, with some students securing internships with renowned law firms.
    * Faculty: Teachers are generally knowledgeable, but some may lack enthusiasm. The permanent faculty members are helpful and supportive, while guest lecturers from the field bring valuable industry experience.
    * Infrastructure: The college has modern infrastructure, including air-conditioned classrooms, a dedicated law library, and Wi-Fi-enabled premises. Hostels are comfortable, with single occupancy rooms and decent food facilities.
    * Extracurricular Activities: The college organizes various events, fests, and seminars, providing opportunities for students to develop their skills and interests.
    * Campus Life: The campus is lively, with a mix of students from diverse backgrounds. The location in Sector 16, Dwarka, is convenient, with easy access to public transportation and amenities.

However, some concerns were raised regarding:

    * Teaching Pedagogy: Some students felt that the teaching method was traditional and lacked innovation, making learning less engaging.
    * Curriculum: While the curriculum is relevant, some students believed it didn't prepare them adequately for the industry.
    * Internship Opportunities: Although some students secured internships, others reported limited opportunities and irregularity in payment structures.

Overall, whether or not the B.A. LL.B. (Hons) programme at GGSIPU is "worth the investment" depends on individual goals and expectations. For those seeking a strong theoretical foundation and willing to pursue individual advocacy or smaller law firms, the programme may be suitable. However, for those looking for higher-paying jobs or extensive internship opportunities, alternative options may be more beneficial.

    * Placement Ratio: According to students, around 30-40% of students got placed in 2021 due to the pandemic, while others reported a lower placement rate ranging from 10% to 20%.
    * the highest Salary Package: The highest salary package offered to students ranged from INR8 LPA to INR10 LPA, depending on the company and role.

A good college for Delhi students.
Placements: The highest salary package offered at the University School of Law and Legal Studies (USLLS), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), has been around 7.5 LPA. Specifically, in the 2023-24 placements, the highest domestic salary offered was INR 7.50 LPA, while the average salary was 5 LPA. While some reviews suggest a higher figure, such as 20 LPA, the verified data from the university placement reports indicates the 7.5 LPA figure as the highest. There's a breakdown of the placement information, the highest salary was 7.50 LPA (2023-24), and the average salary was 5 LPA (2023-24). Total domestic placements were 58% (2023-24), and the number of companies was 5 (2023-24).
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in the classrooms, the library is awesome also there, and a separate library is available for law students at the law department. Hostels are good, and a single room is given to each student in the hostel. The food in the mess can be an issue. The canteen food is okay. There is a health center for students that is free.
Faculty: USLLS has a strong and experienced faculty. Most professors are highly qualified, with many having PhDs and publications in reputed journals. They're generally well-versed in both theory and practical aspects of law. Many of them come from prestigious institutions like NLUs, DU, or have worked in the judiciary or legal professions. What stands out is the teaching approach. Faculty members usually encourage debates, discussions, and critical thinking. However, like any college, the experience may vary.

Life at University School of Law and Legal Studies.
Placements: As far as I know, there have been close to no placements in the past, and I guess the placement cell is working on it. I am just a junior though, so it's possible that I don't have all the relevant data for judges. I think there haven't been any placements this time around.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good, I guess. Most of the classes are air conditioned, some are centralized, and some are operated by remote. Libraries are also air-conditioned. The hostels are adequate. However, the quality of food and the facilities offered such as Wi-Fi, sofas, dessert with dinner differ with respect to the various hostels.
Faculty: Teachers range from amazing to not so amazing, and of course, knowledgeable. There is an abundance of Ph.D. scholars as well, apart from the actual professors. I would say the course curriculum is pretty relevant, it can always be better, of course. Most of the students pass.
Other: Our annual fest is Anugoonj which is quite famous, and there are a few artists this time around. I wish there were water inside the swimming pool.

I am quite satisfied with faculty, the infrastructure is good and facilities are decent.
Placements: More than 60% of students were placed in my course. The highest package offered in my course is 13-14 Lacs, the lowest package is 3-4 Lacs, and the average package is 7-8 Lacs. More than 80% of students got internships in my course in high court, supreme court, and district courts.
Infrastructure: The families available in the course are decent; it has air-conditioned rooms with smart boards, clean and hygienic toilets, and good-quality seats. The library is well-equipped and has computers where you can do your research and study. Our college only has boys hostels, which are hygienic and in good condition, and the food at the mess is great.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The teaching quality is great. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant, is relevant, and gives a lot of career opportunities; it does make the students industry ready. The semester exams in this college are moderately difficult; the pass percentage is 40%.

It is the worst college so, please do not take admission.
Placements: Very low number of students got placed in very low salary packages. Most of the students were become unemployed, and doing self-practice in courts through their family relations and friends. Students were pressured by college faculty members to do master/higher education for paying high fees for that unvalued course.
Infrastructure: Only limited Wi-Fi facility provided by this college. No better work environment or poor facilities. Canteen was so small with less food and drinks. Sports teacher was always off duty, and no other outdoor activities were conducted in this college.
Faculty: Students passed out exams by giving money to college by conducting exams again and again in same semester. College authorities themselves make the students fail in exams so that they get paid for re exam. Per re-exam needs to be paid by students separately.
    Other: Events were not good.

Good college if you wish to pursue litigation/ prepare for competitive exams.
Placements: The internship cell is working towards internships but for placements, the percentage of students being placed by the college is low. The internships being provided are in tier 2 firms like Bharucha & Partners, Samvaad etc. The advantage of studying here is that the attendance pressure isn't a lot so it becomes easier to prepare for competitive exams like judiciary, UPSC etc.
Infrastructure: University is pretty good infrastructure wise. NIRF ranking of GGSIPU beats many NLUs as well. The university emphasizes a lot on keeping the campus beautified from time to time. There are 2 libraries, one exclusively for law and the other one is the main library for all courses. There was a mix of ac and non-ac classrooms in the university. Most of the students are day scholars, I was also one but as far as I heard from my friends, mess food is good and the rooms are also fine. There are individual rooms being offered.
Faculty: Most faculty members hold doctorates degree. They are qualified. Overall teaching quality is average. Classes used to be somewhat irregular. The course curriculum is completely relevant. The college exams are of moderate level. Pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I believe better placements is what this college is lacking and certainly an area that can be improved.

    Great Campus and Hostel Life.
Placements: Placements in this course are almost non-existent due to the poor and laidback functioning of the university's placement cell. We don't have a placement coordinator, and most of the placement opportunities come from alumni or small law firms, which offer an average salary of 3-4 LPA. However, some students secure PPOs and are placed with good packages of 12-13 LPA. Around 20% of students from our college get placed.
Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure is its best feature. The campus is large and beautiful, with amenities like Wi-Fi, playgrounds, parking, and places to hang out such as Nescafe or Amul. The classrooms and library are air-conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi, and have projectors for smart classes. The hostel is very affordable and good, with single rooms, two gyms, and two common rooms with TVs and ACs. The hostel environment is great, with no ragging culture. The quality of food in the mess is also very good.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are visiting faculty or Ph.D. scholars, which is a downside of the university. There are only a few permanent professors who are very helpful and great. The dean of the university is very interactive and helpful. The curriculum is relevant and comparatively easier than at other universities. The passing grade is 40%, which is easy to attain as the semester examinations are not difficult and the checking is not strict. Teaching quality needs improvement due to the presence of inexperienced faculty.
Other: I chose this course because I come from a family of litigators. The best aspects of the course include the social interactions, social life, events, and seminars. The university organizes a huge number of events, including the annual fest called Anugoonj, held in February, which is one of the biggest fests in Delhi. Connectivity is excellent due to the college's proximity to the airport and railway station, and metro connectivity is also great. Extracurricular activities are encouraged through events like sports meets.
