The companies that visit in Transportation Systems Engineering are Dar-Al-Handasah, IBI Group, MWH, Louis Berger, Systra, etc. The job profile offered to them is of design consultant or traffic engineer/planning engineer mostly. None of the Transportation students applied for the internships. Yes, there is a dedicated Placement Cell at IIT Bombay for the placement and internship pr...

Awesome campus, temple of knowledge-technical & moral.

Placements: Awesome placement cell and plethora of opportunities to Branch out to your interests. Student participation in the placement cell is near 95% with all major decision making handled by selected students from the outgoing batch. Industry reputation of the institute becomes evident from the company participation in placements.

Infrastructure: World class labs and infrastructure, worth every praise offered. Campus is Wi-Fi enabled with student identity based log in system. Classrooms are all well designed to accommodate any kind of audience with family for projecting PPTs etc. Hostels facility for undergraduate students is pathetic in some hostels. The best college for post graduate students.

Placements: The placements are good when compared to other colleges. Above 50% of the students get placed with a good package. And, some people do not sit for placements and usually try to get enrolled in a PhD programme somewhere. They do give pre-placement classes and help you prepare for the placements. Some people also get international placements with good package.

The college is good with good placements.

Placements: For the 2017-2018 batch, placements were good. Almost all the students got placed with good packages in good companies. The placement cell worked really hard for the placements of students. Pre-placement training sessions were conducted, and everything was taken care of. This year, not many good companies visited the campus for placements. Overall, the placements are good. The companies that visited the campus for placements offered good positions to placed students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. The classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated and are equipped with a projector and digital facilities. The labs have everything required for carrying out the experiments. The whole campus is enabled with Wi-Fi facility. There are departmental libraries in every department where you get all the reference books, projects of students, the papers they presented, and research works. Placements: Typically, it is expected to get a fine placement. Although like every college, CSE has the greatest placement. But the scope for other branches is equally good. There is a nice placement preparation before the placement begins in December. From the month of May, the student bodies organize various boot camps like analytics, consulting, management, programming, FMCG, which gives a direction to the thinking of the students. IIT Bombay has a huge campus of 530 acres and I would say it is 1 of the most beautiful college. On one side of the campus is powai lake and on the other side is a hill which makes it more beautiful. Also the infrastructure is awesome. I got hostel 13 where one can go to the lounge and enjoy. There are many indoor games like table tennis, pool, fooz ball, carom, chess, gym etc. And I think there is need of telling the quality of education provided there.
