It is mandatory to have minimum 75% marks (65% for reserved category) in class 12 to take admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates should apply for JoSAA conselling only if they fulfill all the conditions of eligibility. However, many institutes admit students on the basis of JEE Main where there is no requirement of minimum marks in class 12.
IIT Delhi OBC cutoff 2025 for JEE Advanced is yet to be released. However, during the last round cutoff in 2024, the JEE Advanced closing ranks for BTech admission varied between 89 and 3185 in the All India quota. In the first round, the cutoff ranks were more competitive for admission compared to the final round. Therefore, based on last year's cutoff ranks, a JEE Advanced rank of 7000 does not allow for admission at IIT Delhi for any BTech or Integrated BTech courses for students belonging to the OBC AI category.
For admission to an MTech course at IIT Delhi, candidates must have a GATE score greater than or equal to the cut-off marks. The cut-off varies across the MTech specialisations and reservation categories of the candidates.
In addition, the cutoff list mentions the minimum marks and ranks that the aspirants should have secured for selection. The overall cutoff for GATE may lie between 350 and 800 marks. This cutoff range is as per an unofficial source and hence, is indicative.
IIT Delhi MTech admission is completely entrance-based. Candidates seeking admission to the IIT Delhi MTech course must appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). However, BTech graduates from IITs with an overall CGPA of 8.00 out of 10 are exempted from GATE and are eligible for direct admissions. Apart from this, candidates are also requested to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria to be eligible for IIT Delhi MTech admission.
IIT Delhi admission is entrance-based for all the programmes (Except for PG Diploma). For the diploma course, selection is done merit-basis. - Candidates, who have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with an aggregate of 75% or above, can appear for JEE Main, followed by JEE Advanced and JoSAA Counselling to seek BTech admission at IIT Delhi.

- For MSc, aspirants need to apply with a valid score of IIT JAM and selected candidates have to further go through CCMN counselling.

There are various components included in the course fee structure. The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi BTech fees range between INR 8 lakh and INR 10 lakh. No, admission to the IIT Delhi courses is entrance-based, except for PG Diploma course. There is no provision for direct admission. No, IIT Delhi has separate hostels for Boys and Girls. There are no co-ed hostels. The institute has no tolerance policy for the same. Boys can only visit the girls' hostel visitor’s room and vice-versa. On house days, the institute may allow students to visit other hostels.
For 2022, cut off was 4316 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering in IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. BTech is the flagship course of IIT Delhi. The best branches of IIT Delhi BTech programme are Computer Science, Mathematics and Computing, and Electrical Engineering. JEE Main counselling schedule is released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority after the declaration of the JEE Main result. Students securing the required marks in JEE Advanced become eligible for participation in counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs including IIT Delhi.
For IIT Delhi PhD admission, candidates need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the institute. Master degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Humanities or equivalent in relevant stream with a CGPA of 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate is the basic eligibility criteria for PhD admission. Admission to IIT Delhi BTech courses is subject to fulfiment of the eligibility requirements for JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The students who have passed Class 12 in Science stream with at least 75% aggregate (65% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD) are eligible to apply. Hence, a student scoring less than 60% is not eligible to pursue BTech at IIT Delhi. They can go for other colleges offering the course.
