
MGU CAT application process 2025 is online wherein the candidates have to create a login ID on the official website of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, fill an online application form and pay the fees. MBA candidates too have to fill the MGU CAT 2025 application form. However, they don't have to appear for the test as their admission is based on CAT/CMAT/KMAT score. Flling up of the MGU CAT 2025 application form is necessary for MBA candidates for GD/PI shortlisting process. MGU CAT 2025 registration started on April 25 and the last date to apply is June 21, 2025.
The application fee of MGU CAT for General and Open All India quota candidates is INR 1,100 and for SC/ST candidates it is INR 550. The fee is to be paid online via debit/credit card or net banking. Candidates must note that fee payment in a mandatory step in form submission process. The MGU CAT form will not be accepted until the fee is paid. Applicants must also note that the fee is non-refundable.

- Click on 'Apply Now'
- Create an account by furnishing personal details
- Once the account is created, you will be able to view his/her application number
- Upload a scanned copy of the recent passport size photograph of the following dimension-

To pay the fee, applicants can use Debit Card/ Credit Card or Internet Banking facility. Candidates who cannot make online payment can pay the fees at the nearest Akshaya Centre. MGU CAT exam centres are located in five cities across Kerala. The centres are at Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Kochi, Kozhikode and Kannur. Candidates can opt a maximum of three centres on a preferential basis. However, the decision of allotment will be made by the MG University.
For admission to M.Tech programme offered by MG University, candidates must have valid GATE score. They must have passed GATE exam in the same academic year. Such candidates are not required to appear in MGU CAT exam and can directly seek admission by participating in the GD/PI round.
After the MGU CAT exam is conducted and the result is announced, the university conducts a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) which includes PI or GD-PI. CAT qualifying candidates have to participate and clear the GD/PI round for their respective courses to be selected for admission. Thereafter the final merit list is prepared based on candidates’ overall performance.
MGU CAT exam has 80 MCQs with four choices for each question. Each correct answer carries one mark and there is negative score for incorrect answers. The entrance exam duration is 90 minutes. The MBA entrance exam scores are valid for admission to MG University’s MBA courses are CAT, CMAT and KMAT. Candidates must have passed any one of these exams in the same academic year.
