Mumbai University Admission 2021

MU admission 2021 for UG courses is already over. Interested candidates were required to apply on the official website. The admission process for UG courses usually begins in May with the release of its UG admission form but it got delayed in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Mumbai University cutoff 2021 releases in three to four rounds. Based on the cutoff, seats are allotted to applicable affiliated institutes/ departments under the University. Mumbai University Scholarships 2021

The following scholarships are offered to the PG students of the University of Mumbai:

  1. Financial assistance to the students representing backward classes:A provision of INR 10 lakh is marked to render financial assistance to the students belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ ST/ NT/ DT and SBC) studying at various departments of the University.
  2. Financial assistance to the needy students:A provision of Rs 1 crore (Rupees One Crore) as corpus fund is made since 2004-05 to render financial assistance to needy students belonging to the economically backward class studying at various affiliated colleges/ institutions/ departments of the university.
  3. Book Bank Scheme:Every year the University renders financial assistance to the affiliated colleges to run the Book Bank scheme for the backward class students.
  4. Group Insurance Scheme:In 2001-2002, the University introduced a Group Insurance Scheme in collaboration with National Insurance Company Limited known as YUVA RAKSHA for students from the affiliated colleges/ institutions and University departments.
  5. Government Scholarships: A number of government scholarships are also offered to the student studying at University affiliated colleges/ institutions and departments:
    • Government of India scholarship/ freeship to SC/ST/DT/NT/SBC category students: Students whose parents have an income less than Rs 1 lakh per annum an eligible to get the freeships
    • Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship: This is offered to 100 students for higher education within India. For eg: Further education at IIM/ IIT etc.
    • Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship: This is offered to 10 students for UG/ PG (8 + 2) students for abroad education

Mumbai University admission 2022 is completely merit and entrance-based for all its UG, PG and doctoral level courses. MU admission was completed successfully for the 2021 session followed by the release of its first, second and third merit list for UG admission on August 17, 25 and 30, respectively, followed by a few more lists. Last year, the sale of UG admission form took place from August 5 to August 14 and the online submission of admission forms along with the pre-enrolment form took place from August 6 to August 14. Mumbai University (MU) Cut Offs

Mumbai University offers a five-year Integrated LLB programme through its 40+ affiliated Law colleges. Admission to LLB programme is based on MHT CET Law marks, followed by MHT CET Law Counselling (CAP Counselling), which is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai. The institute-specific qualifying cutoff is announced after the declaration of MHT CET Law 2021 result to manage the seat allotment process.

The seat allotment process is based on the college cutoff and the candidate's preference for courses and colleges. The MHT CET Law cut offs are generally declared in four rounds of CAP Counselling based on closing marks. The cutoffs are released for the MH and OMS quota, which are further divided into Open, Open-EWS, SC, OBC, etc. categories.

It is a good choice for learning and improving your personality.

Placements: Companies which visited here for placements were Zomato, Swiggy, Airtel, Vodafone, etc. Jobs offered were mostly related to the BPO sector. I am not sure about how many students got placed, and I suggest you check our college website for that. BMS or BMM is a good course to opt for. Mostly, students found jobs outside the college or opt for postgraduation.

Placements: Placements are offered only for students who choose the major subject as economics or have a double minor with economics as one of the two subjects. Many students opt for further studies and don't opt for placements. Between 50%-60% of the students get placed from our course. The highest salary package offered was 15 LPA. Internships are comparatively easy to get from the second year as our college placement cell plays an important role in providing internships.

Well AAFT is a good college for master degree in filmmaking but LPU gives you the different kind of exposure though I don't have much knowledge over it, and got a better response over the quality of input in Filmmaking. (I heard it from my friends of fashion Department).
