AICTE Encourages Institutions to Organise Events on World Quantum Day

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced that World Quantum Day, observed globally on April 14 each year, aims to raise awareness and foster a deeper understanding of quantum science and its transformative impact on technology, education, and society. In support of this global initiative, we invite your institution to actively participate in World Quantum Day 2025 by organizing events such as expert talks, panel discussions, workshops, or any other activity that sparks curiosity and encourages learning in the field of quantum science and technology. These celebrations offer a valuable platform for faculty, students, and researchers to showcase their commitment to scientific innovation and contribute to shaping the future of quantum advancements.

Document World Quantum Day Activities by April 21, 2025

AICTE requests all universities to upload the details of the activities conducted in celebration of World Quantum Day by filling out the designated form on or before April 21, 2025. The institution’s active participation will not only inspire young minds but also contribute to building a nationwide momentum towards shaping India’s quantum future.

Special Session on World Quantum Day by MNIT Jaipur

It is also informed that MNIT Jaipur is organising a special session on World Quantum Day on April 15, 2025. The session will feature eminent speakers from IBM and other leading organizations, who will present cutting-edge insights into quantum science and highlight emerging career opportunities as part of this Quantum initiative. Faculty members from all institutions are welcome to attend. Interested participants may register online at the official website.

DST and AICTE Unite to Drive Quantum Education in India

The Department of Science & Technology (DST) is spearheading the National Quantum Mission to seed, nurture, and scale up scientific and industrial R&D in Quantum Technology (QT). This visionary initiative aims to build a vibrant and innovative QT ecosystem that will not only accelerate quantum-driven economic growth but also position India as a global leader in Quantum Technologies and Applications (QTA).

As part of this mission, AICTE, in collaboration with DST, has developed a dedicated undergraduate curriculum designed to cultivate a skilled quantum-ready workforce and foster a robust, future-oriented quantum ecosystem in the country.
