No matter how much a student secures in Class 12, IIM Bangalore, while shortlisting candidates for MBA follows a normalization process and gives weightage to all exam scores, i.e., Class 10, Class 12 or graduation. The process of normalisation is explained below:

1. For IIM Bangalore PGP admission, a shortlist will be prepared comprising the names of candidates who have secured a pre-determined minimum score on all sections of CAT.

Common Admission Test or CAT is a national-level management aptitude test conducted by IIM for admission to MBA. Each year, over 2.3 Lacs candidates take the CAT exam, which is accepted by the IIMs and top MBA colleges in India.
