NIELIT Shillong- Tura Extension Centre Online Courses 2026

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Shillong  is one of the centres of NIELIT institutions. Nielit Shillong, located in Meghalaya offers long-term, short-term certificate, and other courses to students across the Hardware, Networking & Maintenance, and various other streams at very affordable cost. It offers placement assistance to students. It also provides many scholarships as financial assistance to students.

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT)  is an autonomous body of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India. It was made to provide knowledge and skill development in the field on Information, Electronics and Communications Technology among students. Both Nielit Patna and Nielit Shillong provides quality educational courses to its students at very affordable cost. Nielit Patna promotes more than 10 courses in IT and software stream at affordable fees and give good placement. However, Nielit Shillong offers long-term, short-term certificate, and other courses to students across the Hardware, Networking & Maintenance, and various other streams. However, the fees of both NIELIT centres are very much the same. For example, The CCC course at Nielit Shillong cost around Rs. 5,295 and the same course at Nielit Patna cost around Rs. 4,555.

NIELIT Shillong offers long-term, short-term certificates, and other courses to students across the Hardware, Networking & Maintenance, and various other streams. For short-term courses, admission is open throughout the year for enrollment. For long-term courses, the applications are accepted twice in a year, January & July. Admission process for both term courses depends on the eligibility criteria of the student. The admission in short term course depends upon the academic merits. However, the admission in long term courses is conducted through the NIELIT entrance exam along with academic merits. You cannot join NIELIT Shillong directly.

NIELIT Shillong offers both long term and short term courses. The fees of various short term courses like BCC, CCC, ECC etc. cost around INR.4k - 8k. However, different long terms courses like O' Level in IT (Software), 'O' Level in CHM etc. cost around INR.15k - 30K.
