To make the young generations aware of space technology and inspire them to build their career in this rapidly advancing domain, IIRS-ISRO invites applications from school students aged ten years and above for a free IIRS, ISRO certificate course named “Overview of Space Science and Technology.”

Course Objective 

To improve awareness among school students on Space Science and technology.

About the Course – Overview of Space Science and Technology

This IIRS-ISRO certificate course is developed by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS). It is open to global students to help them gain knowledge about different aspects of space science and technology. 

It will involve 10 hours of online technical sessions by leading space scientists of India. Students will have the flexibility to watch the videos at their convenience multiple times. After completing the video session, you would need to participate in the Quiz assessment available in the E-CLASS LMS.

IIRS-ISRO online courses for school students will help them understand the importance of space missions in developmental activities such as better planning and decision making in the areas of earth observations, satellite communications, navigations, weather forecasting, telemedicine, environmental and climate studies, agriculture, food, and water security, disaster management, etc.

Dates 

Course Duration – June 06 – July 05, 2022.

The course will open on 6th June and close by July 5, 2022.

The Overview of Space Science and Technology course is open to all the students of age ten years and above from India and abroad.

Award of Certificate

The Course Participation Certificate will be awarded from IIRS ISRO based on their attendance in technical sessions and score in the online quiz assessment. A minimum 60% score in the Quiz and 70% attendance in video sessions are required to get the course participation certificate.

Other Important Points to Note

• 10 hours of online video sessions are available
• Attendance will be recorded based on the video watch logs. 
• You can download the PDF version of the study material for your future references from E-CLASS LMS.
• All the technical sessions and learning resources will be available till July 05, 2022, under your account in the E-CLASS LMS.
• A discussion forum is also available in E-CLASS LMS for collaborative learning and doubt clearance.
• You need to submit course feedback before proceeding to generate your course certificate through E-CLASS LMS.
• You can also recover your login credential anytime during the course from https://eclass-intl-lms.iirs.gov.in/login/index.php.
