McGill Online offers professional programs with certificates and degrees that are not free. But it provides free-to-audit courses with edX.
The certificates of proficiency are for two languages—English and French. There is also a certificate course for Bilingual proficiency. These are only delivered in person on weekends or evenings, not online.
