About McGill University
Established in 1821, McGill University is a public research university based in Montreal, Quebec. Accredited by the CEAB and CASN, the university is popular among Indian students for its quality of studies, especially in fields like Humanities, Law, and Medicine. History
The university began thanks to the donation of Scottish Merchant James McGill, who left around GBP 10,000 in his will for a school of elementary and secondary education, which began in 1801, in Lower Canada. A bequest was made soon after his death to start a college in his name. 1821 saw the start of McGill College, while classes began in 1829.
The university continued to expand over the coming years, with the start of the Faculty of Law, the McGill School of Architecture and the opening of the Royal Victoria College for women.

As an Indian student, you should have completed high school or Class 12th or equivalent. You're also free to submit valid scores of the SAT or the ACT exam. For English proficiency, a score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in each section of the IELTS or a TOEFL-iBT score of 90 for most courses, and 100 for Education and Management courses, is enough.

For PG courses, you should have completed a UG degree in the relevant field of study, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or a minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. An IELTS Academic Score of 6.5 or a TOEFL-iBT Score of 86, with 20 in each section is enough. For some courses, you would have to submit the GRE or GMAT scores per the course requirement.
