Understand what is a big data system is: Being able to characterise/assess a dataset using three following the 3 criteria: volume, velocity, variety

Understand features and challenges of AI, Machine Learning and IoT

Understand the basics of IoT : Machine To Machine specifications, Heterogeneity of data and protocols (software) and sensors (hardware)

Who are the main actors of IoT : Telcos, Gafa, Protocol start-ups

Navigate through a programming software, interpret basic coding and write a short coding program

Understand basic programming functionalities: open a basic coding, run it, perform basic debugging tasks (Languages : R, Python)

Understand basic algorithm functions: CONDITIONAL TESTS (IF, ELSE IF), LOOPS (FOR, WHILE)

Ph.D in Law. Dr Hugues Bouthinon-Dumas is an associate professor in ESSEC’s Public and Private Policy department. His research topics cover fields such as company law, corporate governance and regulation of markets.

Julien Malaurent
Dr. Julien Malaurent is Professor of Information Systems at ESSEC since 2013. The overall review for the college is decent. It offers good education
Tips: Students should read the curriculum, course, and career opportunities beforehand. The university is very multicultural and proactive in networking. Learning about the local language can be very helpful in terms of social networking, making friends and partners, and also landing great opportunities.
Likes (Safety): The city is safe in general because you have night bus connectivity, security and people who are generally nice and helpful. Except for some areas, the overall vibe of the city is clean and calm, with people from all around the world living together and respecting each other.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): I rated post-study jobs 2/5 because the market is saturated and it requires a very good level of French or German. There are fewer English-speaking jobs, so you may need to struggle more and settle for less satisfactory opportunities. The IT industry is okay in France.
