Students who find the fee of the Christian Medical College Vellore a little high can apply for the various scholarships offered by CMC Vellore. Scholarships are available for all undergraduate programme students. Scholarships are offered according to the economic status of the students and also cover all or a part of the total fees (Including extra charges and tuition) as well as the accommodation costs.
The admission to MBBS programme at CMC Vellore campuses will solely be based on the marks scored by the candidates in the NEET exam. There are no management category seats available at CMC Vellore campuses. CMC Vellore Entrance Exam has been permanently scrapped as an entrance exam.
The candidate have to appear for college level entrance exam + selection process and PI .The entrance exam consist of two steps. Step one will be entrance exam (Computer Based exam) and shotlisted candidates goes for selection process. Step two consist of medical test, PI, skill test, apttitude and such test towards the healing ministry. However, for Christain candidates applying under the Minority Network category, a written test in Bible knowledge will be conducted at Vellore campus. Further, CMC Vellore accepts AP EAMCET for admission to its BSc nursing course. Candidates must seperately apply for the exam and appear for the exam.
No direct admissions are not available for many courses at CMC Vellore. Students must clear the entrance tests for a successful admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses at CMC. For direct admissions, students must contact the admission office or else go through the entrance exams for admissions.
The candidate should pass BPT from The Tamil Nadu DR. MGR Medical University Chennai or an examination of any
other university accepted by the authority of this university as equivalent thereto. Students who meet the mentioned educational qualification can apply for the course. The selection criteria for the course is merit-based.
CMC Vellore cutoff 2024 has been concluded for further admission to the MD/MS specialisations, on the basis of Tamil Nadu PG medical exam. The CMC College has an attached hospital where treatments are provided to patients. The college gives free and subsidised care to marginalised people, the poorest of the poor. Patients who have no means of livelihood & who are referred to CMC Vellore by its social workers in CMC's community centres
