ISC 12th Board Exam 2023: Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) released the ISC Result 2023 on the official website- cisce.org TODAY, May 14, 2023 at 3 pm. Students can check their ISC 12th result 2023 using their roll number. ISC result 2023 mentions student's details along with the marks scored by them in all subjects.

It must be remembered that the ISC 12th result 2023 released online is provisional in nature. Students will need to collect their original mark sheet from school.

Students can apply for rechecking of their ISC 12th answer sheet on the official website at the cost of Rs 1000 per subject. The application window for rechecking of ISC result 2023 is open between May 14 and 23.

From this year, the Council will conduct the Improvement exams giving a chance to candidates to improve their performance in ANY ONE SUBJECT. Students can register for Compartment exams or improvement exams between June 18 and 23. These examinations will be held in July.

CISCE conducted the ISC exams 2023 between February 13 and March 31, 2023 in pen and paper mode. The board released the ISC time table 2023 Class 12 for all subjects in form of a PDF file on December 1, 2022 on the official website. The duration of the exam is 3 hours for every subject. They commenced at 9 am and at 2 pm for different subjects. The Council released the ISC hall ticket 2023 and students had to collect the same from their schools. It is mandatory to carry the ISC admit card 2023 on all exam days, failing which they are not be allowed to write the exam. 

Latest Update

At the beginning of this session, the board announced that it will conduct the ISC board exams ONLY ONCE in 2022-23. Around 1 lakh students appear for the ISC exams every year. To score well, they should cover the entire ISC syllabus ahead of time as this will give them enough time for revision.

Last year, the board conducted the ISC exams 2022 for the first semester between November 22 and December 20. The semester 2 exams were held from April 26 to June 13, 2022. The ISC Result 2022 was declared on July 24 at 5 pm on the official website at cisce.examresults.net. Students can check their ISC results using their UID and index number. 

About ISC Board

CISCE conducts Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations every year usually in February/March. The Council prescribes the syllabus, exam pattern and fixes the important dates too. In 2021-22, the board conducted board exams twice due to the pandemic situation caused by Covid-19. From 2022-23, the Council has decided to go back to its earlier norm of conducting the board exams annually, i.e, once at the end of the academic session. The Council has also revised the syllabus in select subjects.

From the year 2019, the Board started conducting the compartmental exam for those students who are unable to clear their ISC exams in one go. The board lets students sit for the compartmental exam in one subject (fourth subject). The exam is expected to be held in May and the ISC compartmental result 2023 shall be released in June/July 2023.

ISC Result 2023

CISCE declared the ISC Result 2023 on May 14 on the official website. Students can check their ISC Result 2023 using their course code, candidate UID, and index number. Students can follow the steps below to check their ISC 2022-23 Result:

  • Visit the official website of ISC 12th or click on the link provided above
  • Click on ‘Result 2023
  • A new result login window will open
  • Enter the UID and Index number. Fill the given captcha
  • Click on ‘Show Result’
  • The ISC Class 12th result 2023 will appear on the screen. Download and save it

FAQs on ISC Board Exams 2023

Q: Will the result be announced online only?

A: The Council will release the ISC result 2023 in online mode only. This result will be provisional. You will be required to collect the original mark sheet from school after a few days. This is an important document and will be required for admission to higher educational institutes.

A: Yes, it is possible to secure a perfect score in the ISC exam irrespective of the stream. In the year 2019, there were joint toppers from the Science and Humanities stream, who secured 400 out of 400.

Q: Who topped the ISC exam in 2021?

A: CISCE did not release the ISC merit list or toppers list in 2021 and 2020 due to the non-conduct of exams. In 2019, Dewang Kumar Agarwal from Kolkata and Vibha Swaminathan from Bengaluru were the toppers of the ISC exam. Dewang and Vibha were from Science and Humanities stream respectively.

A: There are as many as 2,605 schools affiliated with the ISC or the CISCE Board.
