Amazing curriculum with campus life .
Tips: Moving here definitely came with some culture shock, and it took me a while to get used to how differently people do things compared to back home. Honestly though, figuring it all out has been a pretty great experience. I was lucky enough to snag a scholarship, which took off a ton of pressure. Overall, I’m really happy with the uni—the staff actually give you proper support and the resources here are solid.
Likes (Student Life): The university has the best college experience because of the baseball, basketball, etc. Team and a lot of international diversity on campus. There are a lot of fun events happening around campus, and I have so much fun here. The campus is very beautiful and aesthetic, and you can stay on campus for the entire day.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Let's be real, trying to settle down in the US permanently is a total nightmare. Because of that, I can't justify giving any US university more than 3 stars. If you're an Indian student moving here with the hope of staying long-term, it's honestly a massive gamble. Don't get me wrong, the career opportunities are insane and I'd stay here in a heartbeat if I could. But the whole green card process is just broken and way too steep. It sucks because I really want to stay, but the system makes it feel pretty much impossible.

Good people and a good place.
Tips: The transition here from studying in India was not as drastic as I had expected. People are understanding and there are plenty of Indians around so you'll feel less intimidated. Faculty is passionate and genuinely helpful so try not to hesitate. Also, there are some scholarships that have been very helpful for some of my peers so do some research about the eligibility criteria.

NYUAD: A Chef's Salad An American Institute in the middleast
Tips: If you are not used to being in a diverse environment, the transition to NYUAD could be difficult. However, it is a very friendly campus with a zero-discrimination policy. For Indians, it is not very difficult to adjust because there's a large Indian community on campus. There are options to get a fully-funded education that covers everything and I got one. Your admission application process is through a common app, and if you want a fully-funded education, you can also submit a college board application. FAFSA will review it, and the university will provide you with financial aid accordingly.
Likes (Post study jobs): Post-study jobs depend on your field of study. STEM fields have more demand here but there are also companies who want individuals who have expertise in inter-disciplinary learning. There is definitely some scope but graduation from NYUAD gives me an edge while applying for jobs abroad as well. There is a 95% employment rate.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The UAE only gives you sponsorship visas and you cannot attain citizenship here. However, there are options to get a Golden Visa for 10 years with your academic excellence. If you complete a degree from the world's top 100 universities, you will get a golden visa. I personally enjoy living in the Emirates because it feels nothing less than India.

Students from all over the world are required to use the Common Application for NYU Abu Dhabi admissions. A separate one for the same is not available.

While applying, Indian students should select 'New York University' on the Common App and choose Abu Dhabi campus as the preffered one.

No, applying in Early Decision does not negatively affect an Indian student's chances to receive the New York Scholarships.

Opposite to it, applying early and showing strong interest can actually make you a better candidate to these financial aids.
