Q:   Can I study in the USA without GRE or GMAT?

Q:   What are Optional Practical Training (OPT) and Curricular Practical Training (CPT) in USA?

The CPT is a work authorization, granted to students, during the course of their studies. The CPT can be both part time and full time, with average duration being around 20 work hours per week

Q:   What type of visa do Indian students need to study in USA?
A: 

The F1 student visa, is the standard visa for international students in USA. For admission to short term, non academic or vocational programs, the M1 visa is more relevant, while the J1 visa is offered to transfer students, taking part in exchange programs. 

Therefore, for students enrolled in full time courses, with a duration of 12 months or more, the F1 visa is the most viable option. 

Q:   What are the requirements for obtaining an F-1 visa from India?
A: 

International students seeking admission to the best universities in USA, must provide the following set of documents, to be eligible for a F1 student visa:

  • Must be enrolled in a full time programme or a programme with a minimum duration of 18 months
  • Attain a I-20 from an SEVP recognised University
  • Secure admission to a SEVP-recognized institute
  • Must be a resident of a foreign country and show clear intention of returning to the home country, after completion of studies
  • Must demonstrate English language proficiency by securing valid scores in IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or Duolingo
  • Must show no hostility towards the USA via Social Media Vetting
  • Must demonstrate a strong connection to the home country (by providing bank statements, proof of residence, etc.)
Q:   What documents are required for applying to US universities?
A: 

To apply for admission to US universities, students must provide the below set of documents, and any other additional programme specific requirement:

  • Official academic trancripts and grades of all past education
  • Proof of secondary school and high school Diploma or degree
  • Standardized test scores such as SAT or ACT
  • Scores of GRE or GMAT (for select programs)
  • English Language Proficiency Test Scores such as IELTS and TOEFL
  • A CV or Resume
  • Letters of Recommendation and Work Experience Letters (if available)
