NSOU is better than other government universities.
Placements: The placement in college is good. Basically, the placement depends on the overall theme and educational structure. Our college has a good structure for all types of teaching and lab work. Last year, our college had a placement record of about 78%. This year, our college already has a well-planned placement drive. The highest package till now is 5 LPA in Byju's.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is beautiful. The buildings are well maintained. All classrooms are well-lit. There is a free Wi-Fi facility throughout the campus. The library is huge and has a large collection of books. Labs are well maintained. The food served in the canteen and food court is very tasty. The university has all kinds of facilities for every student.
Faculty: All the teachers in our department are very helpful, well-qualified and highly knowledgeable. They always support and encourage us. The way they explain the syllabus is very helpful for exams. Their behavior towards us is really very polite. Almost 80% of students pass.

Low-quality college for education.
Placements: No placement facility is available at this college. Zero placement support, especially in the Bengal course. This is my last semester but there is still no placement update in our department. To get a job, this college is very poor. You will get only a degree, not a job.
Infrastructure: There is no good infrastructure. Every facility is there. Wi-Fi is available but most of the time there is no internet. The campus is neat and clean but no AC is available. In the summer, it becomes very difficult to stay in the classes. Lifts are allowed only for staff. I am not happy about this.
Faculty: Most of the teachers do not complete the syllabus in time. Our 4th-semester result was declared 2 months ago but we got our online results at the end of May. Sometimes the exams are also delayed. The exam system is very poor. The teachers also give less if you do not take private tuition.

Good university for B.A. I am happy with my college.
Placements: Netaji Subhas Open University is a good university for B.A. Our college provides us with campus placement facility. We saw that some of our seniors got an internship. Students upload their resume to NSOU forum. The highest salary package is 5 to 6 LPA and the lowest salary package is 2 to 3 LPA. Some students chose higher education.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good and so many trees are there. Sitting facilities are available to everyone. The library is available and if we want to take a book from the library, we need to show our college ID card. Good-quality canteens are available and a good-quality hostel is also available. Internet facilities are available here.
Faculty: Faculty members are good; they always guide us through any problem. Our teachers give us class notes every day. We always try to attend our classes. Our semester exam is a little bit difficult but not impossible to pass because we try so hard for our bright feature. Our teachers always support us in any small or big decision for our future.

A good college for studying in Kolkata.
Placements: At our college, about 10% of students are in the government sector. 20–30% of students are in the corporate sector, and 30% run their own businesses. 15% of students got internships from our college campus and moved to many companies. From our courses, many students are working as teachers in schools or colleges. Many students have completed their Ph.D.
Infrastructure: Our department is a beautiful place. We can access our departmental Wi-Fi and computer system for study. We have a beautiful and spacious conference hall where we can present our seminars with digital support like projectors, smart boards, etc. Our college organizes annual sports events in which hundreds of students participate.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and qualified for their work. Their knowledge of the subject as well as the general purpose was outstanding. For improvement, the course syllabus should be upgraded for future studies. However, the course is not relevant for students. The test is a bit tough, but it's okay. Our pass rate is around 90%.

Good college with the best hostel facility.
Placements: Many students get placed through our college. Students prefer government job preparations after taking the course. Some of the students of our department get placed in the local sector. Their average salary package is around 2.4 LPA. In our course, however, no internships are offered.
Infrastructure: Hostels having various facilities are good for the students. They are less expensive and affordable. It costs around 2000-3000 per semester for general students and free accommodation is provided for SC reserved candidates apart from the mess fees. We have to pay for the mess separately. 1300-1500 per month is the hostel mess fee. There are not enough seats in the NSOU Hostel.
Faculty: Our college’s teachers are very friendly. They have a lot of knowledge in the sector. The course is well planned and basic training is provided to the students. We have educational tours every semester. We have internal and semester exams with moderate difficulty level. The passing rate is more than 85%.

From my point of view, open university degrees are also valid but regular degree has more value then the open degree and if you go somewhere and have a regular degree then you will be selected first. My advice is that you should opt for a regular degree course.

You can pursue both the courses simultaneously from different colleges.
