The candidates who wish to become Company Secretary should clear three levels of CS course and the concerning exams. The course includes three stages of study- Foundation program, Executive program, and Professional program. The candidate will also have to pursue a practical training after qualifying the second stage. The candidate who wishes to join Company Secretary Course after graduation can enter directly to the executive programme and join the professional programme and a practical training.

Applying for the Company Secretary course after 12th:

The admission process for company secretary course is open to all eligible candidates. You can refer to the ICSI Chapter of your area for detailed information on dates. The exam will be held during June and December each year for all three levels. The candidates who have passed in 12th can apply for foundation. The graduates can directly apply for the executive program.

The registration or application process is carried out in online mode. Steps to be followed for CS Executive June/December are:

1. Visit the ICSI Delhi official website (icsi.edu).
2. Go on to the “Online Services” section and click on “Register for CS Course”.
3. Check for the list of the necessary documents provided on the page and click on “Proceed to Registration”.
4. Fill out all the details as per your official documents.
5. Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
6. Pay the examination fee and submit the CS Executive application form.
7. Download the confirmation page for future reference.

CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET), formerly known as CS foundation is conducted twice a year. This entrance exam is conducted by ICSI for admission to the CS Executive course. The entrance examination is conducted in June and December. Additionally, the registration for the entrance exam in June starts in the month of January. Aspirants are required to submit their applications within the due date to become eligible to take admission.

The CS course at ICSI Delhi sees a competitive job market, with only 10-15% of students landing placements. The highest package typically ranges between 10-12 LPA, with an average offer of 3-4 LPA. The lowest reported package hovers around 2.5 LPA. Notable recruiting companies include TCS, First Cry, and BPL. Roughly 40-50% of students secure internships.
