Taxation refers to the collection of money by the Government from the trading companies and citizens to finance public institutions, goods and services. Candidates aspiring to pursue the course in Taxation must fulfil the eligibility criteria as per the programme they want to enrol into. Taxation course is offered at certification, UG, PG and Diploma Levels. The duration of the taxation course is a maximum of 3 years. The course aims at imparting practical and theoretical knowledge of financial accounting, direct taxation, indirect taxation and auditing. - As per the eligibility criteria for Diploma in Taxation candidate must be a graduate in Commerce or Law from a recognized institution/university.
- Some institutes/universities also accept candidates having Graduation degree in Art/Science streams with one-year practical experience in Taxation or related fields
Post Graduation in Taxation Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Post Graduation in Taxation programme, candidates must be a graduate in B.Com with an aggregate minimum percentage of 50-60%.
