1. Need Based Scholarship Scheme: Under this scheme, IIFT pays interest subsidy on educational loans for 27 months from the time the loan is taken from a bank. Students of the MBA (IB) full-time programme who have taken the loan and whose family income is less than INR 6.00 Lacs per year can apply under this scholarship.
2. New Scholarship Scheme (NSS): This scholarship covers ten percent of students with a scholarship amounting to twenty percent (20%) of the tuition fee in all “Full-Time/Regular” batches of the degree courses offered by IIFT. The scholarship will be given to 10% of the students admitted in the regular programs. The scholarship amount will be 20% of the Tuition fee for all. The criteria would be a “means-cum-merit” basis with 70% weightage to means and 30% weightage to merit i.e. total CGPA scored after completion of the program. It will be granted to those students who complete their full-time programme from IIFT and whose family income from all sources is less than INR 8 Lacs per annum. The upper ceiling of INR 8 Lacs is subject to revision. The scholarship will be disbursed to the students after the successful completion of the programme i.e. MBA (IB), MBA (BA), and MA (Eco.). IPM students will get the scholarship after completing their BBA and MBA. If the amount of the scholarship is less, then the balance amount will be payable.

The admission for the IIFT Kolkata is done based on the IIFT entrance test conducted by the NTA during December. The test involves the group discussions, writing skills assessment and personal interview.

The students must be with an aggregation of about 50 percentage in the under graduation. The exam is as tough as the CAT.

The total fee for MBA in International Business at IIFT Kolkata is INR 20.97 lakh. This fee is inclusive of components, namely tuition, library, internet, medical insurance, course material, hostel charges (for double occupancy, boarding charges, students and alumni activity. IIFT cut off is the minimum exam score required to be eligible for the Extempore and Personal Interview (PI) round of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) admission. Shortlisting of candidates for the second round of IIFT admission is based on both sectional and overall IIFT cut offs. Candidates who do not clear the overall or sectional IIFT cut off percentiles are not shortlisted for the second round.
