Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Kolkata Scholarships and Funding
The Institute operates Need Based Scholarship Scheme under which it pays interest subsidy on Educational Loan for 27 months from the time the loan in taken from a Bank. Any student who has taken the loan and whose family income is less than 6.50 lakh per year can apply under this scholarship. Depending upon the fee and other expenses the amount of educational loan is revised every year.
Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs have introduced a liberal scholarship scheme called “Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC/ST Students”. Four SC students and four ST students, who secure admission in the Institute’s two year full time MBA (International Business) are awarded scholarship by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs, respectively. The scholarship provides for (i) full tuition fee and non-refundable charges (ii) living expenses @ 2,220/- per month subject of actuals and (iii) books and stationery @ 3,000/- per annum subject to actuals.
The eligibility conditions are as follows:
1)The total family income of the student from all sources should not exceed @ `6.50 lakh per annum.
2)The scholarship will be terminated if the student fails to pass the final examination of each year or any terminal examination.

Placements: 90% students got placements during their placements programme. The highest package has crossed 50 LPA, the average package was 25-28 LPA, and the lowest package was below 20 LPA. Top recruiting companies that offered jobs are Deloitte, JP Morgan, Amazon, etc. Top roles are export-import manager, global supply chain manager, trade and policy consultant, etc.
Placements: We got full assistance from the placement cell during the placement process. Last year, around 90% of our seniors got placed in well-reputed companies. The highest package secured by a student of our college is 80 LPA and the average package is 18 LPA. Placements: There are some issues in internships and a placement cell. Companies come to our college but few students get selected for their interviews. They don't get the highest packages of above 5 LPA, and they don't give us top companies. Some students get placed in MNCs at the state level but not at the central level, which is disappointing in my college.
Placements: Top companies like JPMC, HSBC, and Godrej hire students from the college. It provides 100% placements and great mentorship from alumni. Students often find the case-based teaching method and project-oriented assessment quite engaging. The institute also encourages research and participation in national and international competitions and conferences.
Placements: Campus students grabbed unimaginable offers which would be between 4.3 Lacs to 26.7 Lacs for an year. Also active support given for students who are planned to start new ventures in future. Most specially they initiated their support to entrepreneurs by giving some worthy contact cars.
Placements: All students were placed, top roles were offered by international companies. Top recruiting companies include tata steel, airtel, sharpoji pallonji, vodafone, P&G. Median package was 15lpa and minimum was 10lpa. Top roles were finance and IT. Operations .
