IIM Amritsar admission criteria 2026-28 - The minimum CAT cut off required to be eligible to participate in the admission process of full time MBA programme is 90 percentile (General category). the overall qualifying CAT cut off is same as last year, but the sectional cut off percentile of VARC has been increased for all candidates.

IIM Amritsar conducts MBA admission through CAT exam score. Shortlisting of candidates for PI round of MBA batch 2026-2028 is based on CAT 2025 score. To participate in the IIM Amritsar PI round candidatesare required to fill the online application form which has been released.

IIM Amritsar PI Shortlist 2026: How to Apply?

IIM Amritsar has released the PI shortlist 2026 online and form to participate in the selection round. Check below how to apply for IIM Amritsar PI shortlist 2026:

• Go to IIM Amritsar website
• Click on MBA admission 2026-2028 tab
• Enter CAT ID and password
• Check your PI shortlist status and apply

The PI shortlist form is open for a limited period only. Candidates who selected IIM Amritsar in the CAT 2025 application form, are eligible to apply for the PI round. They also need to meet the minimum CAT cut off 2025. 

IIM Amritsar Selection Criteria: PI Shortlisting 2026

Shortlisting of candidates for the first stage of IIM Amritsar admission will be based on the following parameters.

Candidates selected for the PI round will be informed through email. They will be required to participate in the PI round on a scheduled date. The date and venue of PI will be shared in the same email.

IIM Amritsar Admission Criteria 2026: Final Selection

Post the PI round, final selection will be done among students who will qualify the round. Pre-PI scores and post-PI scores (with appropriate weightages) will be used cumulatively in the final phase to select the candidates for admission. The final scores for admission will be calculated on the basis of following components. 

IIM Amritsar Selection & Admission Criteria: Important Points

• The work experience carries a weight of 10 per cent. The length of the experience considered will be till April 30 of that year. Work experience of less than sox months is not valid for this score.
• The final selection list will be prepared by the end of May, after which offer of admission will be made to selected student
• Selected candidates will have to accept the offer of admission by sending a duly filled offer acceptance form with INR 50,000 as offer acceptance fees (refundable)
• A limited number of candidates will be kept in the waiting list. Offers to the candidates in the waiting list depends upon the number of candidates not accepting the offers from the initial list.
