The college is great if we have other plans, or else not so much.
Learning Experience: I am doing my BA program in English from SOL (DU). Honestly, it is okay if we are someone who needs flexibility. The syllabus is similar to regular DU, but the study material feels a bit outdated. Classes are mostly online, which helps manage other things side by side. There is very little interaction or guidance. Updates on the portal are slow. It is affordable and gives us time to explore other skills or prepare for exams, but we really have to stay self-motivated. Career-wise, it is recognised, but we need to build our own exposure and experiences outside of it.
Placements: There is no proper placement or internship support in SOL. We have to find opportunities on our own. It is best for those who want to focus on other goals along with graduation. Otherwise, with minimal guidance and no campus exposure, it can feel like a time waste. I still gave it a 4 rating because someone who is pursuing something else too, for them, it's really helpful without much burden.
Faculty: Since it is distance learning, faculty members' interaction is minimal. The course structure follows DUs pattern but lacks depth and engagement. Assessments are purely theory-based with no feedback. Overall, we are mostly on our own, so self-study and initiative are key.
Course Support: Course support is quite limited. Updates are often delayed, and it is hard to get quick responses to doubts. There's no regular mentorship or academic guidance. Most help comes from peer groups or external sources. If we are stuck, we usually have to figure things out ourselves.

For Better Learning - DU SOL.
Learning Experience: As a student who has been through the ups and downs of distance learning, I can confidently say that DU SOL has been a game changer for me.
Placements: They make you job-ready but do not provide placements or jobs. Instead, they prepare you for government jobs, equipping you with all the necessary skills and facilities.
Faculty: The teachers and staff at DU SOL are supportive and helpful. They are always available to clear doubts and provide guidance.
Course Support: Despite a few minor drawbacks, I wholeheartedly recommend DU SOL to anyone seeking a flexible, affordable, and quality education. The university's commitment to providing accessible learning opportunities is truly commendable.

Cut off till 2021 was decided on the 12th marks basis . But since government has now introduced CUCET , so this batch will be the first to give this exam. 12th marks as a base for cut offs has now ended . Therefore, previous years cut offs will not help you much in this year's selection.
