The college is great if we have other plans, or else not so much.

Learning Experience: I am doing my BA program in English from SOL (DU). Honestly, it is okay if we are someone who needs flexibility. The syllabus is similar to regular DU, but the study material feels a bit outdated. Classes are mostly online, which helps manage other things side by side. There is very little interaction or guidance. Updates on the portal are slow. It is affordable and gives us time to explore other skills or prepare for exams, but we really have to stay self-motivated. Career-wise, it is recognise...

There is a lot to include, but mainly the infrastructure is good and well maintained.

Learning Experience: I personally haven't got any internship but some of my friends got. They are very happy with the internship as the college provide benefit of attendance to them and allow them to take leave from the college. The stipends of the internship is decent as compared to other colleges.

Reality of School of open learning

Learning Experience: As a DU Sol student, Content and syllabus is almost same like regular but we need to do by own. I have got books from university first time for this 6th Semester. Experience is below average because no exposure at all, but if someone is engaged in other career field it is good as we get enough time to go with. Developing skills is equal to 0. Pros are like If someone wants to go with other competitive exams can surely get enough time without any pressure, and cons like No personal development or...

Good Course , but self learning is must & no practical exposure

Learning Experience: My experience with the B.com (hons) course has been decent overall. the subjects included like income tax , GST, and other finance related are usefull and help in future jobs . pros - internal assessment are held online and carry almost 30% weightage of each subject and these are in MCQ format so it is easier to uderstand topics and improve marks . Cons - lectures are not availble online - Most of the time server Doesn't work well - there is no practical learning of excel , tally ....etc

BCom is one of the best and easiest course to do.

Learning Experience: My course is B.Com, which belongs to the commerce stream. There is some difficulty in understanding the content in the books. However, SOL provides us with books containing easy language to understand, and there is quite low pressure of learning. We can also do another course parallel to it because we do not need to go to college regularly. By doing this course, you can easily become an accountant or get banking jobs in the future. A few times their site does not work properly, but that is not a...

The duration of the MA programme is two-years. Candidates have to pass all the semester examinations within the course duration to get awarded with the degree. It is a distance/correspondence course. Hence, candidates have to register each time to appear for the examinations.
