Practice listening deeply to people and viewpoints that you typically do not attend to.

04 Explore Identities & Practice Courage

Explore the multiple identities you hold and ways to connect with the many layers of others-identities.

Start strengthening your courage muscles: practice an act of courage to push past boundaries set by fear.

05 Hold Opposing Values in Tension & Avoid the Conformity Trap

Build your capacity for holding your own beliefs with the opposing beliefs of someone else, a practice that will be necessary as you work with others to create change.

Examine the ways in which we are often steered towards doing what is expected or deemed 'business as usual,-then learn the importance of rejecting the status quo to break through unproductive norms that perpetuate broken systems.

Jacqueline Novogratz
Jacqueline Novogratz is the New York Times best-selling author of “The Blue Sweater”. Her second book “Manifesto for a Moral Revolution” will be published in May 2020. In 2001, Jacqueline founded Acumen with the idea of investing philanthropic “patient-capital” in entrepreneurs seeking to solve the toughest issues of poverty.
