Design Of Reinforced Concrete Structures

Learning Experience: I followed this course because I wanted to learn about the design of structure from the basics. This course seems lengthy but trust me it will clear your all doubts. The professor is teaching in a clear way with all basic things like beam bending diagrams. He even drives every formula, so you have no need to mug up all formulae and theorems. Follow this course for deep study.
Faculty: Professor N.Dhang is from IIT Kharagpur. No need for an introduction and no need to doubt the professor's knowledge and way of teaching. Don't worry about the sequence of chapters. All chapters are well arranged according to the need of learning. Follow that sequence only.
Course Support: I passed my college exam with good marks. With the basics that I learned I could solve other types of questions also. It also helped me in other subjects like steel structure design.

Q:   Is the NPTEL exam easy to pass?

A:

The difficulty level in NPTEL exams depends on the topic and the learner's background. But passing an NPTEL course is possible with adequate preparation.

  • IITs and IISc prepare NPTEL courses, so they have high academic standards.

  • Assignments account for 25% of the final score, so ensure your attendance is regular.

  • The last proctored exam has 75% weightage; students must score at least 40% (typically overall) to pass.

Certain advanced courses (particularly in computer science, mathematics, and engineering) may be demanding, with a need for good conceptual understanding. But students who attend lectures regularly and submit assignments on time can easily pass.
