Q:   Does KKHSOU offer scholarship to its students?
A: 

Yes, KKHSOU offers scholarships to students based on both need and merit basis. KKHSOU students belonging to reserved categories, such as Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), are eligible for fee exemption or reimbursement from KKHSOU. However, all of it depends on the KKHSOU university scholarship rules and regulations. Additionally, all these students are eligible for government scholarships as well. Some of the KKHSOU scholarships are:

Q:   Who is eligible for graduation in KKHSOU, Assam?
A: 

The candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognised Board/ University for the candidates seeking graduation at KKHSOU, Assam and minimum marks criteria is 40% for general category students and for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates it is 35%. However, candidates who offer a Diploma course in Engineering/ Technology or two-year Diploma in any field in a recognised Polytechnic/ Institution should also apply. The university also provides direct entry into 3rd semester for Diploma holder with an overall fee structure ranging from INR 30 K to INR 44 K.

Q:   What should I do after taking online admission in KKHSOU?
A: 

Candidates who are selected for admission must confirm their seat by paying the course fee. Here are few things that students will recieve after taking admission in Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University:

  • Once a students get admission into KKHSOU, he or she will recieve the enrollment number and ID for future login to the samarth portal of the university.
  • Based on the choice made by the candidate while filling the application form, he or she will then recieve the study material. Soft copy is available on the official website of the university. 
  • Registered students also recieve a mail from the regional or study centre for counselling. It is an induction ceremony where the course is introduced to the students.
  • A schedule of classes is also shared through mail. For any query regarding classes, students must contact their study centre.
Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for BCA at KKHSOU, Assam?
A: 

As some of the characteristics of BCA course at KKHSOU Assam, it is noteworthy that to qualify to join the programme candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream (Vocational Stream inclusive) from any Council/ University approved by UGC. The last two were formed through political influences, there are no entrance test and Merit based admission system. It is an UG programme spanning four years in Open and Distance Learning Mode. The total programme cost is INR 44 K, inclusive of a project fee of INR 1200 in the 8th semester.
