As a student at an open university, I'm really satisfied with IGNOU.
Placements: Since IGNOU is an open university and only offers distance education, it's really hard to get placed relying solely on graduation certificates from IGNOU university. I don't really think there is a recruiting company for my course, which is a Bachelor's in Commerce.
Infrastructure: As I mentioned before, IGNOU university is an open university and only provides distance education. Therefore, there are no hostels or regular classes (as for me). I don't think IGNOU university offers regular classes, as I haven't been to any.
Faculty: I haven't been to regular classes, so I don't know about the teaching quality. As for the course curriculum, yes, it is really relevant and makes the students industry-ready. The semesters are not that hard and can be tackled easily if we practice the previous questions. The pass percentage for B.Com General is 35%.
Other: Actually, I am an ACCA student, so I wanted a Bachelor's degree related to accounting, and that's why I opted for B.Com. Since IGNOU is an open university, I thought it would be perfect to join as there are no regular classes, allowing me to mainly focus on ACCA. Another reason is the lower expenses; the yearly fee and exam fees are comparatively cheap.

Good placements and teaching experience.
Placements: In my course, 80 to 85 percent of students get their dream jobs on their own. The lowest salary is around 20k to 25k, and the highest depends on your performance, stability, and behavior. For example, teaching in schools (public or private schools with very good salaries) or private companies like Accenture and many MNCs. About 88% of students were selected in private and public schools, and some were selected in private companies. Teaching may be the top role, and many students got jobs in private companies.
Infrastructure: All facilities in our infrastructure are excellent, like Wi-Fi, clean labs, and classrooms—all in air-conditioned rooms. Most importantly, you don't need to go to the library because all study material is provided by our campus and delivered to your home via courier. All facilities are quite brilliant, except for the mess, but it's clean and hygiene is good, though mess food is typical. Medical facilities are quick, and sports events and many other activities are organized.
Faculty: The teachers on campus are brilliant and helpful. The quality of their knowledge is outstanding, and I can't imagine how clear they are when resolving our doubts. The course is relevant, and it depends on the student when they go to the field. Semester exams are not tough, and the passing percentage is 35% for out of 100 and 37% for out of 50.
Other: I like to teach students, which is why I chose this course. Nothing needs improvement in my course. Everything, like fests, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarships, and extracurricular activities, is brilliant.

The college is good if your purpose is to join distance education.
Placements: There is no such assurance of placement with IGNOU but there are many career options like that of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. The best thing about the college is that I can pursue my graduation while I work full time. There is no such thing as internship provided by the campus, you will have to do everything on your own. The college will only provide you with the course and exam details, that's it.
Infrastructure: I can't say much about the infrastructure because it's a distance learning thing and we need not visit the campus for anything. But I have visited the campus and they have lab, library and full Wi-Fi enabled campus. The campus also has a recreational area and a very good canteen.
Faculty: I don't take classes but there are classes available on weekends and the fee can also be paid online via logging into the portals and uploading all the documents along with the online fee. The exams are difficult if you do not study, but it’s not like you will have to study everyday to get good marks. You can score about 70% by just studying at the time of the exams.
Other: I chose this course because this will add a value to my current job and it's easy to pursue it from here with a full time job. The course can be more helpful if they provide us with the study material. There is no such thing as campus life or events here as we do not go to the campus.

Life of an IGNOU student .
Placements: Placement at IGNOU is very easy, as the criteria for pursuing a course are very low. All the packages offered in my course are the same, be it ODL or physically attending the class. No such internships are offered; if you are an exceptional student, you may get one or two but it's not confirmed.
Infrastructure: As an ODL student, I'm not bound to attend any lectures, because of which I am not well aware of the hostel infrastructure. Students who choose their regional and study centers according to their comfort, like sports or mess, may get the facilities but not everyone.
Faculty: Teachers will be helpful to students who are attending their lectures but they will not go outside their comfort zone to help you. One of the reasons is that they play less compared to other teachers in India. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, as it really makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are the same difficulty level as those at other colleges, including their conduct.
Other: I chose this course because I was really into human psychology. Why and how they react to certain situations, the reasons behind them and the what-ifs drove me to choose this course. The thing I would want to improve here is adding online classes that are combined with the physical classes. As for events and fests, no such thing has been done since 2019 except the convocation ceremony.

My college life at IGNOU.
Placements: Since it is an open school, the placement provided by the college is not yet known. It doesn't provide placements. One has to look outside the college campus for a job. No recruiting company comes for placements. If anyone wants to get a job after the completion of the course, he or she may have to look for opportunities provided by other recruiters in the market.
Infrastructure: The classes are not frequently held here in the university premises because of the distance learning format. However, the faculty members of the college organize classes for their Hons. students separately. You will be provided with a library for your academic studies inside the university campus, which is decent. The library available on the college campus has a variety of books for different programs and also offers a good Wi-Fi connection. Additionally, hostel facilities are not available here because it is an open school; therefore, you have to arrange your own accommodation nearby the university campus. The university will not pay for anything related to accommodation.
Faculty: The faculty, including all the staff, are quite helpful. The faculty-student relationship is also good. Teachers are highly educated and professional. They will support you with any course or college-related query. This course curriculum is of great relevance. It prepares you for your future workplace, wherever you will engage yourself. The semester examination is conducted twice a year, so if you have any backlog or missed any paper, you can appear in the next one. The paper is of a moderate level, so if you have studied well, you can score well. The pass percentage is thirty-three.
Other: I chose this course because it makes you eligible to earn your livelihood without putting much effort into it. The kind of life you get has a different value. Once you complete your academics, you can explore job opportunities and engage yourself somewhere in this era of high competition for jobs.
