B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry - Batch of 2027

It is not an excellent college, but it is the best in many ways, like education and infrastructure.
Placements: Placement is not guaranteed, but it is good. This college gives you guidance, and the highest package of the college is 25 LPA, while the lowest is 10 LPA. It is the best in placements. Hansraj College is ranked 3rd in NIRF, and its placement offers are high compared to other DU colleges, and different companies come to the college. Many students also secure internships.
Infrastructure: In my college, the infrastructure is good, and the facilities are average. Hansraj College is in the top 5 DU colleges. The hostels have good infrastructure, and there are great library facilities. There are NCC and NSS society rooms, a huge library with all available books, and different departments like my Chemistry department. There are also sports facilities and a huge ground.
Faculty: In Hansraj College, the professors of every department are good, and they complete their syllabus perfectly and guide the students. The course curriculum is excellent, and they help students in many ways. There are many societies, like Rasayanatyan Chemistry Society, Nistha Society, and many other events each semester, with a pass percentage of roughly 90%.
Other: I choose this course because I am interested in Chemistry. And make future in this. I think to improve in lab and practical facility. Fest are medium not best.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science - Batch of 2026
3.6
4Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Balanced experience with strong academics and campus life.
Placements: For Hansraj College B.Sc. Hons Computer Science, the placement rate is about 50 percent. The maximum salary package range between 23 LPA-25 LPA, the average package is about 6 LPA-8 LPA, while the minimum package is 4 LPA-5 LPA. The prominent recruiters are Brain, BCG, Deloitte, EY, Accenture, and Infosys but most of the jobs lie in consultancy and analytics instead of technical jobs. Nearly 60-80 percent of the students get their internships at startup firms, consulting firms, and technology companies. Some of the positions offered are Software Developer (a few), Data Analyst, Business Analyst, and Consulting Analyst.
Infrastructure: Regarding the infrastructural aspects of Hansraj College B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science these are fair but not great. This is to say that there is Wi-Fi, working computer laboratories, good classrooms, and the library is well-stocked. In terms of hostel arrangements these are the worst. The boys' hostel is undergoing construction while the girls' hostel is better but restricted. There is no mess facility here students depend upon the canteen tender which is quite costly as the total fees are one lakh for 6 months for only hostel. As for medical facilities they provide first aid facilities only.
Faculty: With regards to teaching staff in the Hansraj College B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science programme I would say that they are adequately trained, knowledgeable, and supportive especially when it comes to basic subjects. The level of teaching is adequate for developing the conceptual base, although it could seem overly theoretical at times. The syllabus of the course is quite relevant in terms of fundamental aspects and theories it is not entirely industry-oriented. The semester examinations are moderate in terms of difficulty it is quite easy if you study regularly. The overall percentage of passing is quite high 85-95 percent.
Other: B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science from Hansraj College was selected for my academic studies based on its prestigious name, exposure to DU, and bright career prospects in the IT industry. The positive aspects of choosing this programme include quality theoretical education, a competitive environment, and many other activities organized by societies, networking, industrial connections, and technical placements. The campus atmosphere is lively and there are several events such as Confluence. There are good connectivity options due to the proximity of the North Campus. The area is student-oriented. Scholarships are available but few.

Review of Hansraj College, University of Delhi.
Placements: There is an 80 percent placement rate in college. It has a placement cell and others as well. The highest package offered is 25 LPA, and the average package offered is 10 LPA. EY and consulting companies recruit students. Many students got internships. Top roles offered include consulting, marketing, and those related to commerce. Many opportunities are provided here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good in our college. New gates are almost built, and labs are functioning. Classrooms are air-conditioned. The library has a wide variety of books, but the duration of issuing the book can be improved. They are issued for a very short duration.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They help us a lot, and they are experienced. They push their limits to teach us. They take extra efforts and extra classes. The syllabus is completed, and there is an ample amount of time left for self-study and revision.

B.A. (Hons.) in History - Batch of 2027
3.8
3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good infrastructure, somewhat not so good faculty, but good exposure.
Placements: There are 103 students in total and not a lot of them went for corporate packages. But most pursue UPSC CSE, and others go for historiographical authorship. The exposure is vast, true, but there is a lack of practical skills teaching.
Infrastructure: Hansraj offers spacious classrooms, solid labs, a rich library, and decent campus Wi-Fi. The hostel is functional and clean. Mess food is hit or miss, but the canteen is lively and affordable. Sports facilities are great with courts and a gym, and basic medical support is available on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and genuinely helpful. Curriculum is solid but slightly theory-heavy, needing more industry alignment. Exams are moderately tough, and pass rates are generally high with consistent effort. They do not care about your personal or vocational education. Teachers strongly encourage you to become a bookish nerd not focusing at all on your own life.
Other: It was the course I got due to a low score in CUET. Things to improve, I don't wanna discuss. Fests and events are okay, but not as much as expected.

Good infrastructure and exposure, hostel facilities are yet to be opened.
Placements: As of 1st year, I have heard that the placement is good for B.Com courses because, as in my course ( Maths Hons most students apply for Master's. Talking about recruiting companies, most of them are consulting companies like B&G, Deloitte, and others.
Infrastructure: The course is good as the labs are very well maintained, with good Wi-Fi connectivity for the system, but it lacks mobile usage. The library is well-maintained. The canteen is always overcrowded, but there are many options like cafe (Nescafé stall, Mitti Cafe), Amul, and one more, so for eating, there are many options.
Faculty: All teachers are very well, and a few of them allow you to enter even if you are 20 minutes late, some of them don't. Most of teacher focuses on only some students who reply. The semester exams are kind of okay. Talking about the pass percentage, it's around 40, which means you have to score at least 40 marks in the theory paper.
Other: I chose Maths Hons because of its wide range, as I wasn't sure what to do in the future, so opting for Maths is like opening option in various fields.

A simple view dedicated to Hansraj College.
Placements: My batch consists of 100 students currently, of whom most are dedicated to data research and visualization. Usually, average placement consists of 6-7 LPA, but seeing the results of the previous year, the highest package was given to someone from Mathematics Hons, and the package was 25 LPA.
Infrastructure: Considering all sectors of student development, Hansraj has a very well-defined infrastructure for Science students and others, too. It also ranked NIRF 1 in sciences as the best college. But on the other hand, the hostel has undergone for the building, which is a major factor in giving it a 4-star rating right now. Cafeteria, canteens, library, and public area are some of the most well-defined and best in the whole of Delhi University. The hostel is currently under construction and available for use. Famous hangout places include Mitti cafe, Lovers Point, the sports ground, etc.
Faculty: I am not sure about faculty to student ratio, but it is very clear that the number of students studying in Hansraj is way more than its capacity. There is no faculty that I like or dislike personally, all are doing well in their positions. Semester exams are usually easy, students can analyse what kind of questions could be coming.
