CUET PG Sociology Syllabus 2026

National Testing Agency has released the CUET PG Sociology syllabus online. Students can check the CUET PG syllabus pdf to know the important topics for preparation. The sociology syllabus for CUET PG comprises topics based on Basic Concepts in Sociology, Social Processes and Problems, Society, Culture and Social Change, Indian Society, Social Research, and Social Problems in India. This is UG level syllabus.

Students who are appearing for the Sociology paper must follow the syllabus to prepare for CUET PG. Also, check the CUET PG entrance exam pattern. The sociology question paper will be Bilingual (English/Hindi). NTA will conduct Common University Entrance Test PG in March 2026.

Social Problem: Meaning and Definition; Importance of the Study of Social Problems; Sociological Perspectives on Social Problem-Anomie and suicide (Durkheim) Labeling (Becker).
UNIT – II
Structural Issues: Inequality of Caste, Class, Gender and Ethnicity.

Problems and Issues: Female Feticide, Dowry, Domestic Violence, Divorce, Problems of the Aged.

Q:   How many questions are asked in Section B of the CUET PG exam?
A: 

As per the CUET PG 2026 exam pattern, there is only one section, carrying 75 questions in total. Hence, the Section B will not be there.

As per the previous exam pattern of the CUET PG exam, there were 25 questions in Section A. As per the latest or the revised CUET PG pattern, there is only one section, carrying 75 questions. The Section A or the General section has been removed since CUET PG 2025.

CUET PG 2026 Sociology Exam Structure 

National Testing Agency has released the CUET PG exam pattern 2026 online. Students can check the CUET exam pattern to know the marking scheme, duration of the exam, mode of test, types of questions, and total marks. The CUET PG Sociology question paper will have 75 questions. Each question carries 4 marks. Negative marking is done for wrong answers.

The CUET PG 2026 result has been released at https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/. The National Testing Agency released the candidates' scorecard and final answer keys with the result.

MBA students who wish to apply for Goel Group of Institutions scholarships through CUET-PG scores will need to secure a rank of 5000 at best.

With a CUET PG score of 110, admission to M.Sc. Mathematics at Delhi University is very unlikely. DU's CUET PG cutoffs for Science courses, including Mathematics, generally range much higher—often above 200–250 marks out of 300 for the General category.
