The admission process for BCom at Hans Raj College, Delhi is completely based on the scores obtained by the students in the CUET - UG exam conducted by NTA. To be eligible for the exam, candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with Mathematics, Accountancy, Book Keeping and Applied Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Those who qualify the CUET UG exam must register on the DU CSAS portal, fill in their college choices and go through the seat allocation process. The final selection while is based on the candidate's performance in the exam but students who do not have Mathematics or related afore-mentioned subjects in Class 12 do not stand eligible for this exam.

Hence, it is both true Maths or related subjects among Accountancy, Book Keeping and Applied Mathematics is a compulsory must-have in Class 12 for BCom (Hons) admission at HRC.

BA programme combination at Hansraj College, allows candidates to choose multiple subjects altogether from the group of BA subjects in the beginning of the academic session to study in the course duration. Hans Raj College PG cutoff list is out for multiple rounds across different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. For the OBC category students, the CUET PG cutoff scores varied between 66 and 148. However, please note that the cutoff scores vary for different courses, specialisations, rounds, and categories. The above steps will be applicable only if instittues release the CUET UG cut offs. Otherwise, if the institutes release merit lists carrying their scores, then the minimum score would be considered as the CUET UG cut off. Universities like Delhi University does not released CUET cut off. Candidates will know the college/course allocated on the basis of the preferences filled by the candidate while filling the application form.

Starting 2022, Hans Raj College has stopped releasing the cutoff for BCom (Hons) and other undergraduate courses publicly. Earlier, the institute, along with the University of Delhi used to release the cutoff scores for different category students across seven to eight cutoff lists. These lists were based on the Class 12 scores obtained by the students. With the introduction of CUET UG, the process for the release of cutoff has seen changes. Now, students who have applied to Hans Raj College in their DU CSAS registration form (after qualifying CUET UG) receive an admission call, provided they meet the set score standards of the institute. The mode of Hansraj College admission are online and offline. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. Students willing to appear for admission to various courses will be required to pass the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). CUET stands for Central University Entrance Test. It is an all-India level entrance examination that is conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate courses offered in all of the participating institutions.

Hans Raj College admission to all the programmes is entrance-based. While the college accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses, such as BA, BA (Hons), BSc, BSc (Hons) and BCom, BCom (Hons), admission to all the postgraduate programmes is based on the scores obtained by students in the CUET-PG exam (starting admission 2023). The institute along with DU started accepting CUET UG from 2022 onward and the CUET PG from the 2023 session onward. Before this, admission to UG was subject to merit scores obtained by the students in Class 12 and PG admission was mostly subject to DUET exam previously conducted by DU. However, the university still accepts ECA quota admissions.
