B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany - Batch of 2028

Pros - Faculty, infrastructure, and environment are good. Cons- Pricey canteens.
Placements: B.Sc. courses are not known for their placements (especially botany hons), as you all know. You have to follow a Master's in that particular field. However, they have some placement opportunities too at the B.Sc. level in Hansraj College. You just have to be A1 in your academics.
Infrastructure: Labs are really awesome, and so are classes and the library. But it lacks a hostel, and its facilities, in fact, Hansraj College doesn't provide a hostel for the 1st year students, which is a big flaw for students who are residing at a distance. Canteens are really good but pricy at the same time. The environment is pollutant-free.
Faculty: Faculty, exams, and curriculum are good. Teachers are qualified and understand the students' perspective well. They teach in multiple languages so that students coming from different states could also understand what is going on inside the class, and they also interact with every student during class, which makes the class more interactive.

Certificate in Japanese - Batch of 2026

Good learning experience, but poor communication and a lack of clear exam-related information.
Placements: In terms of placements, the Japanese Certificate course at Hansraj College is quite average and is not something to rely on for job opportunities. There is no real support for certificate students. Most outcomes depend on individual effort rather than institutional help. Certificate students are also not respected in the same way as regular students. Only a small percentage of students convert this course into internships or jobs. It usually through external language institutes or self-applied positions.
Infrastructure: Hansraj College's infrastructure is quite good. Classrooms have adequate seating and ventilation. They are tidy and good enough. The library is useful for self-study sessions. It is well-stocked. Basic facilities and common areas are adequate. They are helpful for daily college activities.
Faculty: Instructors for the Japanese Certificate course are helpful and knowledgeable. Particularly, Magdha ma’am explains concepts in detail. At an introductory level, the curriculum is straightforward and well organized. Although the pace sometimes feels slightly rushed. Exams are fair and mainly focus on the taught concepts.
Other: Most students in the Japanese Certificate course batch come from various academic backgrounds. The course demands consistent practice. It is suitable for beginners. To get the most out of the program, consistency is crucial, as attendance and internal evaluation are not taken very seriously.

Review of Hansraj College and its students' life.
Placements: Hansraj College has a good placement record. It has a proper placement cell and internship cell for students. The institution's placement record is impressive. The 2024 drive reported the highest package of 23 LPA, and the average package offered is 8.2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hansraj College's infrastructure is good. It has 7 computer labs. There is Wi-Fi in all classes, but it is not working. It has AC in all classes. The library is also good and has a huge amount of study materials. Sport facilities are also good. We have shooting, archery, and many sports.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive. They are always ready to help students in every situation. They always teach in a very simple manner. They also conduct tests and quizzes for revision purposes. During the exam, they take extra classes. If any students have any doubts, they love to solve them.
Other: The crowd is good. Students come from different states in India. It also has some foreign students.

Hansraj College is a premier DU institute known for academics, placements, & a vibrant campus life.
Placements: Hansraj College offers excellent exposure and brand value. Making it one of the best DU colleges for placements, especially for students aiming at corporate careers. The highest package in recent years has reached around 23 LPA. The average package ranges between 8 and 9 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostel is inside the campus. They provide safety and easy access to classes. Seats are limited and competition for admission is high. Some students feel infrastructure is slightly old. Food quality is average. It is considered comfortable and affordable. It is convenient for students studying away from home.
Other: I am from the B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry batch at Hansraj College, University of Delhi. I chose this course because of my strong interest in scientific experiments, analytical thinking, and research in Chemistry. The best things about the course are having laboratories, experienced faculty, and a curriculum. That builds a solid foundation for higher studies. However, I wish there was more practical exposure, research internships, and updated lab instruments. The college has a vibrant campus life with major events like Renaissance (the annual fest), active societies, and seminars.

Absolutely OK, college hectic timings, good infra, need improvement in facilities like AC and Wi-Fi.
Placements: Around 15% of students get placed in my course. The highest is 30 LPA and the lowest is 7 LPA. I don't know about the companies as it is my first year, but the company names I heard from my seniors are KPMG, Deloitte, ZS Associates, etc. Around 60% of students got internships as per the knowledge from seniors, but the companies were not disclosed to me.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good in A Block, but Block C is newly constructed, so its infrastructure is really good. Even now, some construction work is going on in college. About the facilities, I would say each and every class has AC, but in some classes, the AC chills the class, while in a few, the AC barely works. Our classroom lacks power sockets there’s hardly one working power socket in each class of Block A. Currently, the boys' hostel is undergoing some renovation, so it is closed.
Faculty: The faculty are really good as of now, as per my section. They try to teach beyond classes. They are well qualified, with lots of knowledge and experience. The teaching quality is good some teachers teach exceptionally, but some teach well, as a few students disturb the flow of the class with their rubbish questions to grab the attention of the teacher.
Other: I chose this course as I am from a commerce and business background. This course had already attracted me, and the best thing about this course is the practical knowledge it has through Law and Management. The best thing would be the more student-friendly course. I would say there must be morning and evening timings to minimize the crowd in the college and to have a less hectic schedule for students. Till date, I have not even joined a single event.

Hansraj College - The dream college for many.
Placements: The average rate of placements for my course is a little bit low, but it is quite good for B.Com (Hons) and Eco Hons. The companies that generally come for recruitment are Deloitte, Flipkart, Amazon, etc. The average package is about 8 LPA for an honours course, while 4 LPA for programmes.
Infrastructure: The college has AC classrooms and good benches. We have a fully AC canteen, as well as 3 more canteens, including Coca-Cola, Mitti Cafe, and Amul. We have a world-class gym facility, a shooting range, and a badminton court. Hostel facilities are also quite better than most of the DU hostels.
Faculty: The teaching faculty of economics is very good. The faculty of other courses is also quite good at taking regular doubt sessions, tests, and giving research-based assignments which help students in adding value to their CV. The faculty is quite cooperative.
Other: The best thing about my course is that we can make it an honors course by pursuing a four-year degree. The events are also very good. Since the first day of joining, I have experienced various seminars and events, which make the college vibe overwhelming.
