The locked choices will be then processed according to merit and available seats on a scheduled date for the allotment of seats. The candidates will be intimated through e-mail/SMS about the University/Institute and Course allotted. The list of allotted candidates will be updated in the relevant database.
Step 3: Online Uploading of Documents
The candidates are not required to physically report at the admitting University/Institute during any round of counselling. They have to upload all the relevant documents within a given time frame on the Counselling portal for verification by the concerned Universities/Institutes.
If the original certificates are not in the English language, an English translation of such certificates, candidates are required to upload a document duly certified by the Principal/Director or other competent authority of the institution last attended.
Note:
- The candidate must ensure that uploaded documents have the same information as submitted at the time of filling out Online Application with NTA for appearing in CUET (ICAR-UG)-2024.
- Documents in support of Category and PwBD status should have complete required details, clearly visible seal, sign, date, and place of issue; and should be latest as per requirement.
Step 4: Online Verification of Documents

In case of doubt, the Verifying Officer will raise a query to the candidate, against which the candidate can respond through the login I'd. Failure to re-submission of documents can result in cancellation of seat allotment in the next round.

Once the allotted University/Institute finds the uploaded documents as marked "Verified" by the Document Verifying Officer, the candidate will be required to pay the non-refundable Seat Acceptance Fee of ₹10,000, irrespective of category, on the ICAR’s Counselling portal. Step 7: Upgradation
Candidates may be allotted their 2nd/3rd/4th or even lower choice at the time of the first allotment round. However, some allotted seats to other candidates may become vacant due to the non-reporting or ineligibility of the candidate. In such a case, the candidates who are not happy with the choice allotted to them can request to slide to a better choice in the next allotment round. Candidates must remember that they can only slide to one of the better/higher choices they made at the time of Online Choice Filling.
If a candidate who opted for "Upgradation" does not get a better choice, then he/she can retain the seat initially allotted to him/her. On the other hand, if the candidate gets a better choice, then his/her initially allotted seat will stand forfeited, and will have to accept the Upgraded seat. However, the 'Upgraded' candidate cannot retain the initially allotted seat; therefore, candidates are advised to be very careful while opting for "Upgradation".
Once the Upgrade is done, the candidate will have to contact the allotted University/Institute and verify his/her Date of Registration and additional document requirements, if any.
Step 8: Physical Reporting at the Finally Allotted University
Candidates are required to bring all the original documents (as uploaded on the portal) at the time of registration/attending the classes, for physical verification by the allotted university. After verification, the candidates have to pay the balance amount of the fee (after adjusting the Seat Acceptance Fee already paid) to the university, to confirm their admission. In case a candidate deposits the full admission fee (excluding the seat acceptance fee), he/she can get the seat acceptance fee amount reimbursed later.
If a candidate fails to deposit the balance admission fee and/or original documents for verification, the provisional admission of the candidate will be cancelled.
Step 9: Refund Rules
If a candidate cancels or withdraws the provisional seat allotment up to the end of the 4th round of counselling, the university will refund the full amount after deducting ₹1,000 as a processing fee. However, if a candidate after accepting/freezing his/her seat up to the 4th counselling round, fails to withdraw or cancel the seat will not get any refund of the Seat Acceptance Fee.
