Eligible candidates who fulfill the ICAR CUET UG 2025 Admission Criteria will be able to participate in the ICAR CUET Counselling Process at the official website - www.icar.org.in.
ICAR CUET 2025 Admission: Online Counselling Process
Candidates seeking admission at ICAR through CUET UG 2025 are advised to follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Registration on the Counselling Portal
Visit the official website of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research - icaradmission.in. Scroll down and log in at "Applicant Login" using the Login ID and Password created in the Application Process. Click "Register for Seat Allocation" and then "Edit Button". Some stages of the application status will display on the screen; enter the required information in each field; once done, click "Confirm and Submit".
In case of a query, candidates can refer to the Registration Guidelines given below.
While registering online, candidates have to sign a Declaration and Undertaking for participation in the online counselling process. The candidates declared eligible for online counselling, will have to pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹500 at the time of registration, through the online payment gateway of ICAR by using any Credit Card/RuPay Debit Card/Netbanking and UPI during the specified period.
In case of a query, candidates can refer to the Payment Guidelines given below.
Step 2: Choice Filling
Candidates who have appeared for the CUET 2025 exam and are eligible for counselling must choose courses/universities within the given timeframe. Candidates will be able to select the subjects and universities one by one, and are advised to fill in the maximum number of choices. Candidates will be given a deadline before which they can add, modify, or delete their choice of subjects/universities.
- Registered candidates who do not fill in any choices or fail to save them by the closing time on the last day of choice filling will not be considered for seat allotment and admission. Candidates are advised to keep a printout of the choices filled by them as documentary proof.
- ICAR will provide the login IDs of registered candidates to the participating AUs/Institutes, so they can access the online counselling portal and check the number and details of the candidates for each subject/discipline.
- The locked choices will then be processed according to merit and available seats on a scheduled date for seat allotment. The candidates will be informed through e-mail/SMS about the university/institute and course allotted. The list of allotted candidates will be updated in the relevant database.
Step 3: Online Uploading of Documents
Candidates are not required to physically report to the admitting University/Institute during any round of counselling. They must upload all the relevant documents within the specified timeframe on the counselling portal for verification by the concerned Universities/Institutes.
Note:
- The candidate must ensure that uploaded documents have the same information as submitted at the time of filling out the Online Application with NTA for appearing in CUET 2025.
- Documents in support of Category and PwBD status should have complete required details, clearly visible seal, sign, date, and place of issue, and should be the latest as per requirement.
Check Out: List Of Documents Required For CUET Application Form 2025
Step 4: Online Verification of Documents
A verifying officer of the allotted University/Institute will verify the documents uploaded by the candidates by checking them against the details given in the CUET UG Application Form. In case of doubt, the Verifying Officer will raise a query for the candidate, against which the candidate can respond through their login I'd. The candidate will have to re-submit the document by "Noon" of the next calendar date, from the date on which the query was raised. Failure to re-submit the documents can result in cancellation of seat allotment in the next round.
Step 5: Deposition of Seat Acceptance Fees
Once the allotted University/Institute finds the uploaded documents as marked "Verified" by the Document Verifying Officer, the candidate will be required to pay the non-refundable Seat Acceptance Fee of ₹10,000, irrespective of category, on the ICAR’s Counselling portal. After the receipt of the Seat Acceptance Fee is confirmed, the University/Institute will mark the candidate as “Provisionally Admitted”.
The candidate may opt for “Upgradation” after depositing the Seat Acceptance Fee. In the case of “Upgradation” of Seats, the candidates are not required to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee again.
Step 6: Issue of Provisional Admission Letter
After verification of the uploaded documents of the candidate, payment of the Seat Acceptance Fee by the candidate, and reconciliation of the admission status of the candidate after completion of final reporting by the University/Institute, a Provisional Admission Letter will be issued to the admitted candidate through e-mail.
Step 7: Upgradation
Candidates may be allotted their 2nd/3rd/4th or even lower choice during the first allotment round. However, some allotted seats to other candidates may become vacant due to their non-reporting or ineligibility. In such a case, the candidates who are not happy with the choice allotted to them can request to slide to a better choice in the next allotment round. Candidates must remember that they can only slide to one of the better/higher choices they made at the time of Online Choice Filling.
If a candidate who opted for "Upgradation" does not get a better choice, then he/she can retain the seat initially allotted to him/her. On the other hand, if the candidate gets a better choice, then, his/her initially allotted seat will stand forfeited, and will have to accept the Upgraded seat. However, the 'Upgraded' candidate cannot retain the initially allotted seat; therefore, candidates are advised to be very careful while opting for "Upgradation".
Once the Upgrade is done, the candidate is required to contact the allotted University/Institute and verify his/her Date of Registration and additional document requirements, if any.
Step 8: Physical Reporting at the Finally Allotted University
Candidates are required to bring all the original documents (as uploaded on the portal) at the time of registration/attending the classes, for physical verification by the allotted university. After verification, the candidates have to pay the balance amount of the fee (after adjusting the Seat Acceptance Fee already paid) to the university, to confirm their admission. In case a candidate deposits the full admission fee (excluding the seat acceptance fee), he/she can get the seat acceptance fee amount reimbursed later.
If a candidate fails to deposit the balance admission fee and/or original documents for verification, the provisional admission of the candidate will be cancelled.
Step 9: Refund Rules
If a candidate cancels or withdraws the provisional seat allotment up to the end of the 4th round of counselling, the university will refund the full amount after deducting ₹1,000 as a processing fee. However, if a candidate after accepting/freezing his/her seat up to the 4th counselling round, fails to withdraw or cancel the seat will not get any refund of the Seat Acceptance Fee.
ICAR CUET UG 2025 Cut Off
Candidates seeking admission at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research can check the allotment list, once released, by logging in to the official website of ICAR - icaradmission.in. The University does not release an official CUET UG Cut Off list; instead, candidates can check whether they have been allotted a seat or not by signing up and downloading the Allotment Letter. If a candidate receives the Allotment Letter, he/she can proceed with the Admission Process by registering for the allotted seat, uploading the required documents, and making payment.
Refer to the link given below to know how to check the allotment result and proceed further.
Check Out: What is a Good CUET Score?
Yes, the order in which you pick your courses is important in CUET UG 2026 application form. The first course you select is considered your highest priority, whereas the one you select last is seen as your least preferred option. Nonetheless, this doesn't imply you need to start with your least favored course.
It's important to arrange your courses according to your preference, placing the one you prefer most at the top of your list and the one you prefer least at the bottom. This ordering matters because in the CUET admissions process, your first choice is usually considered initially, and if that's full, the subsequent preferences are looked into.
Therefore, if you have a clear favourite for your first-choice course, ensure it's at the top of your list, even if it appears at the end in the choice filling section. If you're uncertain about your top choice, it might be wise to put a second option as your first preference to enhance your likelihood of getting into the university. In the end, your course selections should reflect your personal interests and career aspirations, and be listed in the order of your preference.
The CUET UG counselling is conducted by the universities acepting CUET UG scores seperately. Candidates will have to apply seperately for each university to appear for the CUET UG counselling process. National Testing Agency (NTA) has no role in conduction counselling process for CUET UG admissions. The participating universities conduct CUET counselling on the basis of candidate's CUET score and college preferences. The candidates are supposed to fill the forms for college and course for seat allotment. Candidates must stay updated with the important dates for admission to participating universities.
BHU admission 2023 to the undergraduate courses is based on CUET UG scores. BHU merit list 2023 for CUET UG has been released. As per BHU cutoff 2023, the minimum CUET UG cutoff score was 152 for B.A. in Sanskrit, followed by 158 for B.A. (Hons.) in Home Science. Talking about the BHU maximum cutoff score 2023, B Sc (Hons) Agriculture became the most competitive course with a cutoff score of 506.
A good percentile to secure admission to Kirori Mal College of Delhi University through CUET 2025 is around the 98 to 99 percentile. The minimum marks required in CUET for admission to Kirori Mal College vary depending on the course you are applying for. The overall cutoff for CUET is 784 - 800 marks
Before selecting the test or domain subjects, candidates are advised to visit the official website of university/organaisation they wish to apply for. Candidates must check the courses offered and eligibility test that they should appear in for admission to desired course. The choice of language/domain subject and General test will depend upon the course and university. Candidates will be able to opt for one or more tests as per the requirement of the course and university from the following sections:
- Section I - 13 Languages
- Section II - 23 Domain Specific Subjects
- Section III - General Test
It is not mandatory to choose any one or more of the tests stated above. The choice of tests would depend on the course/s opted by the candidate and the University / Organization / Institution where admission is sought.

Yes, CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is compulsory for admissions to undergraduate programs in most Central Universities in India. It serves as a unified entrance exam for students seeking admission to various undergraduate courses across participating Central Universities. Each university sets its eligibility criteria, but CUET scores are a primary criterion for admission. Exceptions may exist for certain specialised programs or institutions, but for most central universities, CUET is now an essential requirement for UG admissions.
