NIFT Gandhinagar Online Courses 2026

A 70% in class 12 is not a guarantee, but it is a possibility to get into NIFT Gandhinagar. To be admitted, one must pass the NIFT entrance exam. Even with a little lower class 12th %, a strong score can greatly increase your prospects. To be competitive, aim for a score in the top 20–30 percentile. The institute offers eight courses in various specialisations, namely BDes, BFTech, MFM, MFTech and a Continuing Education Programme.

The college has not specifically released the campus report for the year 2023. However, NIFT placement brochure 2023 is available on the official website. As per the annual report 2022, NIFT Gandhinagar successfully conducted the virtual campus placement for phase 1 and for phase 2 organised at NIFT Gandhinagar campus. To get into NIFT Gandhinagar for a MDes course, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the university. NIFT Gandhinagar offers full-time MDes courses of two years' duration. Students can get into this course based on NIFT + PI + Counsellinge. Apart from the selection criteria, students must pass graduation (common eligibility). 

NIFT Gandhinagar admissions are currently open for various courses. Candidates are selected for courses based on their entrance exam scores. Aspirants can apply online on the official website of the NIFT. The applications are open for various courses at the UG and PG level. NIFT Gandhinagar offers scholarships to meritorious students. Currently, it offers two scholarships schemes, which are listed below:

• Udaan-NIFT Scholarship Scheme for Foreign Studies: Under this scholarship, the students are offered allowance/ financial assistance depending on the country where they seek admission in design courses.
  
• NIFT Sarthak: This scholarship waives 50% to 100% of the tuition fees of the students depending on their gross family income.

A total of 170 courses are offered atNIFT Gandhinagar. Majorityof seats are offered to BDes in Fashion Design, BDes in Textile Design and BDesin Accessory Design specialisations, i.e., 38, respectively. Students can check the table below to know course specialisations:

NIFT Gandhinagar will accept 190 students total for its B.Des programmes in 2024, split among four specialisations. There are 70 seats available for fashion design. There are fifty seats allotted for textile design. Knitwear Design has a maximum seat count of forty. And the final thirty seats are allotted to Leather Design.

NIFT Gandhinagar B.Des cutoff 2025 has been released for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. For the General category, the NIFT Gandhinagar cutoff 2025 for Round 1 ranged between 301 and 751 for B.Des admission. For categories other than the general, the cutoff ranks are tabulated below:

For admission to BFTech course at NIFT Gandhinagar, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The selection criteria for this course are NIFT + PI + Counselling and candidates must pass Class 12 from any recognised state/national board. Candidates who have not completed Class 12 are not eligible for admission.

The National Instituite of Fashion Technology will release the NIFT 2026 at the time of seat allotment and counseling.

The cut-offs will be prepared by considering factors like the seat intake, the merit rank of candidates, admission category, etc. Note that if the seat intake is increase the cut-off would likely go down and vice versa.

As per the current system, there is no scope to pay the NIFT application fee using demand draft. 

The candidate has to pay the NIFT application fee online using online payment gateway, including credit card, debit card, or net banking. 

Note that unless the application fee has been paid successfully, the NIFT 2026 application form filling process will not be considered complete. The NIFT application fee for general category is INR 3,000. Meanwhile, SC, ST, and PwD candidates only need to pay INR 1,500. It is recommended that candidates pay the fee specific to their category, or else the candidate may not be considered for admission.

NIFT Gandhinagar's placement percentage is lower than that of NIFT Chennai. However, NIFT Gandhinagar has made notable progress in recent years, and the difference has shrunk. High placement rates frequently above 90% are a feature of both educational institutions. In 2023, the most expensive package offered by NIFT Gandhinagar was about 12 LPA, while the most expensive package offered at NIFT Chennai was almost 22 LPA.

The scholarship will be given to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of the regular programme of NIFT excluding those admitted under NRI/ NRI sponsored category. Students can apply for the scholarship via online application and submitting a fee of INR 2,000.
