Review of National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore.
Placements: Average companies visit our college to recruit students. The highest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA. Students who score an 8.5 CGPA are eligible for placements.
Infrastructure: Our college provides average facilities. The Wi-Fi facility is not good. Classrooms are old. They provide sports and games facilities. A playground is not available in our college. The college should improve.
Faculty: The jury system in college may not be the best idea as it could negatively impact students with low self-esteem. Jury members claim that their criticisms are for our benefit and future success. Their harsh words can be hurtful and sometimes inappropriate. Therefore, it's important to consider alternative methods of evaluation that do not rely solely on a jury system.

Our college has excellent faculty members who shape the industry.
Placements: In our college, almost 85% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 24,000 per month to Rs. 35,000 per month. Top roles offered are textile design, fashion design, accessory design, digital work, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi doesn't work most of the time. The infrastructure for the course is good. The library has a lot of useful research books and fashion magazines. There are many computer labs. The hostel is congested though. The room is supposed to be for 2 students but has 3 students in it.
Faculty: All our teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable with very good teaching qualities. The Jury is the main event that helps prepare us for the upcoming industry. Semester exams are stressful but with proper time management, all of you can score your best.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in designing, printing, and making new doodle designs. I get to learn everything from scratch about making different types of textiles. This course excites me. There are scholarships and extracurricular activities available.

Our college needs genuine Improvement.
Placements: Almost 80% of the placements are provided in this course. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Nalli, H&M, Nalli, etc., recruit students from NIFT Bengaluru. Companies look for skills that are taught in photography, stylish, and a visual merchandising during the course.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi hardly works, and when it does, the connectivity is so less. The classrooms are so less technically equipped. The tables always hurt students, they and have caused a lot of bruises and bleeding. The hostel facility does not provide what it promises, and the rooms require renovation. Mess food is not up to the mark.
Faculty: Some teachers are worth the grind. They know how to carry the class and conduct lectures. While others do not understand how the course is about design and not art history. They teach what they want to and not what's relevant in the course. It is because of the attitude of some teachers that NIFT is not a college, it's a school. Semester exams are a lot of work but fun to do.
Other: I chose this course because of the less usage of papers and resources, and most of the things in our course are digital.

Our college has very good and experienced faculty members with top-notch infrastructure.
Placements: Most seniors I know have got job placements here after studying. Since the start of your semester is pretty difficult, the pressure starts and makes you well-equipped for the industry. The college has a graduation program that's considered semester 8, and they prepare you for jobs and placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is right up there, with attractive visuals on every wall that catch the eye. The canteen food while is a little less on the quantity side, the quality side is off the charts. They have a cycle of meals, and on Fridays the current catering company offers a special meal, like ghee dosa, chappati, chicken, etc. The basketball court is my personal favorite part of the college along with this central amphitheater where most performances happen.
Faculty: Teachers are all people who have been previously in the industry. They have good experience and passion in their field. Most faculty members have worked in and out of the formal industry in their field of expertise. While very strict with their judgment they have made excellent students because without pressure there can't be diamonds.
Other: Events and extra curricular activities all start in January. The variety of events are spectacular and there are events from Pot painting all the way to battle of the bands. There are both inter-college and intra-college events.

Our college has potential to improve.
Placements: Fashion communication has a class of 30-40 students amongst a batch of 200. As a fresher student yet to complete the course, I do not have experience in acquiring placements but to my knowledge, the average package can go from around 3 LPA to 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies include More, H&M, Decathlon, Monte Carlo, and various other organisations, and national and international. Internships are offered during the 3rd year and can be taken abroad as well. Roles offered include graphic designers, visual marketing and merchandising, advertising, and more.
Infrastructure: Facilities offered here are very rich and resourceful. The infrastructure is planned out very well and has been built to comprise a library, basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, football table, carrom room as well as CAD labs. We also have material development machinery, appropriate equipment for various departmental specialities, well-maintained classes for lectures, and a mess for the students' nutritional needs. The mess doesn't offer a lot of variety or good quality food and also charges are high as every meal is to be paid for at that instant. The college does have a Wi-Fi network setup but the Wi-Fi is not as super-efficient as expected.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good but some teachers fail to understand and emphasise the difference between art and design. The curriculum seems irrelevant at times, especially during the first year. Teachers offer a lot of help when needed and are open to discussions but have a limited range of what they see as creative. The pass percentage is 50%. The exams aren't very tough given that we work throughout the year and avoid last-minute submissions.
