NIFT Situation Test Previous Year Questions Paper (2009 to 2019) & Sample Questions

NIFT Situation Test

The NIFT 2027 Entrance Exam is conducted in two stages. B.Des candidates first appear in the written exams, NIFTEE: GAT and CAT. If shortlisted, the candidate has to appear in a Situation Test. It is mandatory for candidates to appear in both the written exams and the Situation Test, or else the candidate will not be included in the FINAL merit list for NIFT 2027. If you are wondering how important the Situation Test is, remember that it carries 20% weightage.

Situation Test is conducted in the last week of April at around 28 centres in approx 20 cities. In 2026, it was conducted on April 26, 2027 at 28 centers in 20 cities. NIFT written exam was conducted on February 08, 2027.  

NIFT Situation Test Overview

NIFT Situation Test is of 3 hours (approx.). During the test, candidates will be provided with a set of materials with which they need to make 3D models. The model must be explained with a NIFT Situation Test write-up.

Why solve sample papers of the NIFT Situation Test?

One of the most effective ways to prepare for the NIFT Situation Test is by solving sample and previous years' question papers of NIFT. It is because apart from learning about the paper structure, like what types of questions are asked, marking scheme, and difficulty level, the candidate can benefit in another way. Sample papers are great tools to develop one's problem-solving and time-management abilities.
