NIFT Gandhinagar BDes Eligibility & Highlights 2024
NIFT Gandhinagar BDes course is a four-year course offered in full-time mode. BDes at NIFT Gandhinagar is offered in four different specialisations. The NIFT Gandhinagar BDes admissions are decided on entrance basis where, candidates need to clear the NIFT Entrance Exam. The NIFT Entrance exam is comprised of two sub-exams which include the Creative Ability Test and the General Ability Test. Shortlisted candidates move to the next phase, which involves a Situation Test administered by NIFT.

Eligibility Criteria: Educational Background: Completion of Class 12 in any stream or its equivalent from a recognized board, or successful completion of the General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/International Baccalaureate (IB).
Age Limit: Should be under 24 years as of August 1 in the year of admission, with a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD categories.

The institute offers eight courses in various specialisations, namely BDes, BFTech, MFM, MFTech and a Continuing Education Programme.
NIFT Gandhinagar Master of Fashion Management (MFM) and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech) programmes admission is granted on the basis of a valid score in GAT, followed by a GD/ PI round. For admission to NIFT Gandhinagar Continuing Education (CE) programme, admission is based on the merit obtained in the previous qualifying exams. A total of 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to SC and ST categories, respectively.

NIFT Gandhinagar B.Des cutoff 2025 has been released for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. For the General category, the NIFT Gandhinagar cutoff 2025 for Round 1 ranged between 301 and 751 for B.Des admission. For categories other than the general, the cutoff ranks are tabulated below:

NIFT is a national-level design entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).The exam is conducted once every year and has TWO parts:
- Written Exams - It comprise the GAT and CAT. The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs, while only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT.
- Situation Test/ Personal Interview - B.Des candidates who get shortlisted have to appear in the Situation Test, whereas PG candidates need to appear in a Personal Interview. The only exception is B.F.Tech program, where the admission merit list will be prepared solely based on GAT scores.
The FINAL score of NIFT 2025 for the other programs will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams and Situation Test/ Personal Interview.
