There is age restrictions, you can join as and when you clear all exams for entrance purpose. You can contact the officials there for better support, but yes if there is more gap of years, the chances to get admission too reduces. All the best.

No, it will not hamper your admission. Prepare well for the GD-PI-WAT round. Be prepared for justifying the reason for the break in a well-versed manner and all shall be well! All the best!

Hi, The last year cutoff for admission to IIFT 2016-18 batch were between 38-45, which varied according to the analysis of different experts. The IIFT 2016 cutoff depends on exam pattern and difficulty level of the exam. Hence, it is expected that the IIFT 2016 cutoff would be around 40-45.
