B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2024
Offered by SLV College of Nursing
5.0
One of the best colleges, best teachers and management.
Placements: I chose B.Sc. nursing at this college. About 90 percent of students were placed in this course because it was one of the best colleges in Chitradurga. I think the course fees are fair so that all students can afford them. The fee is about Rs. 6,30,000. Every student passed and was recruited to different hospitals that were in the medical field and others to various companies.
Infrastructure: The college had three labs for nursing students only. Wi-Fi, projectors and all technologically advanced instruments were available. There was a library and a study room. Talking about the hostel, the food was good, the staff and other workers were friendly and helpful. They provided medical facilities at any time during the night also. To light up the mood simple games and other activities like shuttle, carrom, chess, and football were provided.
Faculty: Faculty members were good. They provided the best notes, study materials and perfect explanations. Classes were provided in English so it's understandable to students from other states. University exams seem tough but better planning and studying were effective. To pass the exam, we need an above 50 percent mark. In this college other than B.Sc. nursing there is GNM engineering, Ayurveda medical college, Arts and Science, pharmacy studies, etc.
Other: I chose B.Sc. nursing because all other jobs in the upcoming world can be done by AI but caring for a patient is an emotion and charity that can only be given by a human. I wish the university were more responsible regarding exam matters and other technical errors. The campus surroundings were neat and the ground was well-maintained.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) - Batch of 2021

Honest review of RGUHS - Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
Placements: About 50-55 percent of students get placed in my course. Top recruiting companies are Cipla, Biocon, Medanta, Apollo Hospital, Narayana Health, etc. Placement rate is 80-85 percent. Average package offered here is 4 LPA-5 LPA and the highest package is 14 LPA. Students get jobs through internships and the government. Students also attempt exams like PG or NEET to get hospital recruitment.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are quite excellent. We have well-furnished classes with a digital board, specialized laboratory, computer lab, and IT support for students. There is a large library with digital access and an auditorium with modern technology. Hostel and canteen facilities are excellent in this college. Gym and sports facilities are also available. Indoor and outdoor sports are provided. Medical facilities are quite good.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-educated and qualified. They are professionals, clinic experts, doctors, and researchers. This university provides a standardized curriculum for all affiliated colleges. The exams held here are quite tough, and the pattern includes internal assessment and theory. Focus is on theory, practical, and viva.
Other: I personally chose this course because of respect and social impact and also for strong job security. And this course gives me practical and real-world learning. It provides global opportunities and financial growth. I personally like everything about my course, and there is no need to improve anything. My college doesn't organise any big central cultural fest. You can expect an annual cultural fest, medical conference, sports meet, freshers, and farewell. Campus life is not very lively, as most of the crowd is serious and career-focused.

Just a simple overview.
Placements: I don't know much about the placements but I've heard that some of them have gone abroad for higher studies and a job which is why I give it an average. I don't want to rate something that I know nothing about. Many seniors are Malayali so they join this course with the plan of going abroad.
Infrastructure: The classroom and labs are good not exquisite. Everything is in working condition. There are some very old things too that need to be changed. I'm not from the hostel but I've heard that there's absolutely no hot water in the hostel for baths.
Faculty: Most of the lecturers are good. The exams are well done. The curriculum is according to the INC syllabus. They also have postings on various hospitals such as government and private hospitals which helps students understand the best of both worlds.

I'm satisfied with the faculty and infrastructure, it is great. The placement is good.
Placements: The percentage of students placed is about 91 percent in my course this year. The highest package is 11.30 LPA and the lowest package is 9.50 LPA for Kerala students (Boys), and for the girls, the package is about 8.75 LPA. Only for Karnataka students, it is around 2 LPA- 4 LPA (for both boys and girls). The top recruiting company is itself. The percentage of students who got internship is around 75 percent. Top roles offered are B.Sc. nursing itself, and the GNM is also available.
Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure available for my course are not bad, but also work in good condition. The classrooms and library are good. Wi-Fi is better in terms of speed. The quality of the hostel is better, and the same mindset person helps to develop the mind. The living also improves a lot. The friends made here are good. The people around them are great.
Faculty: The teachers are good at what they do, and also good at taking care of the students. They are qualified, and their knowledge is best suited for their work, and the college is a better place to study. The teachers are very helpful. The course curriculum is relevant and it is better. The difficulty of the semester depends on the capability of the students ' capabilities. But in my way, not too tough, and that's it.
Other: The choice of this course is made by me. To do better things to the world itself. I chose B.Sc. nursing for it. The things I wish to improve in this course are practical skills. The events and fests are good, but the campus is not good enough. The rest of them are not bad, and the students are fun with us, and the vibe is great with them. When I compared the fee structure with other colleges, this college has a low fee structure.

It is a good college for nursing in Mangalore with good hospital facilities.
Placements: This college is not that good in placements. Only a small percentage of students get placements.
Infrastructure: Here we have decent facilities, a clean atmosphere, and hostel food is average. There is no hostel facility for boys in this college, but girls get a safe atmosphere and everyone is friendly. This college has a great library, good librarians, and good facilities, with friendly people all around, but don’t expect much support in sports. We only get a once-a-year so-called sports day. The new college canteen is not open yet, it will open soon. But for now, the old canteen is just below average. It has limited space, a limited number of food items, and doesn’t open when needed. But the college facilities are good, with adequate labs and a clean atmosphere. It takes about 10 lakh for 4 years to complete BSc Nursing here, which is a bit higher than in other colleges.
Faculty: We have friendly faculty members; both Malayali and Kannada teachers are there. All are well qualified and always ready to support, and are very friendly with students. Exams are actually easy. They don’t set questions that make students stressed and anxious. The semester exam pass percentage is about 75 percent.
Other: I actually love this course very much. It is a course where we have to write a lot of assignments along with studies. I chose this profession because I love to serve people, and my parents supported me. When I visited this college campus, I liked the atmosphere. Compared with other colleges, this hill region was an attraction for me, along with good facilities and a decent campus. We don’t get many events and fests here, but whenever we do, they are very good and enjoyable.

Absolutely well satisfied with the college and course I have chosen.
Placements: The placement wise, this college is better than others. Nearly the expected range of students will be placed every year, and this T&P cell is working on it. So they try to bring out many companies for the recruitment and help with campus placement.
Infrastructure: Each department has its own Wi-Fi connection and shared with its particular students, labs well designed and apparatus is available for research work. A canteen is also near the college, and the management encourage for the college sports and extracurricular activities.
Faculty: Lecturers are well qualified and with skill range for lecturing, and they help out each student if they ask for help. They also teach the curriculum well and make students understand and provide industry-level knowledge. Coming to exams, it may not be that much stuff.
Other: The course choice was for my passion, and the best thing is sports. Events are very well organised. Scholarships are well provided on merit base.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: In the medical field, there is nothing like placements. Usually, unemployment is very low in this field, so you will get a job even with a simple MBBS degree. But to earn much more money, you need to do an MD, which will really help you earn more in the future. In Navodaya, the patient flow is really low compared to other colleges, so you will get very limited experience here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is really good. The hostels are also really good. We have one of the biggest libraries in Karnataka. No doubt they spent crores on the infrastructure. We have no Wi-Fi facility. The mess food is really good here. Both veg and non-veg food is available. We get chicken biryani and ice cream every Sunday, so the food here is actually good.
Faculty: Teachers are good here. The professors teach very nicely, but it totally depends on you how you will study. Self-study is more important, and you have to be behind professors to get more knowledge instead of sitting idle. We have internals once every two months, and the passing criteria is above 50. This really prepares us for our finals. They even take monthly/weekly tests sometimes. These tests are really useful as they include RGUGHS-style questions.
Other: MBBS is a very serious profession. I wanted to become a doctor ever since I was small, so I chose this profession. The best thing about this course is that you will earn well in the future. It indeed takes a very long time to finally settle, but it is really worth the wait. I have seen a few of my relatives earning more in a month than other people do in a year. On top of that, doctors get a job no matter what, so it's a stable profession. Apart from all this, you can also experience fests and extracurricular activities.

Honest college review of a student.
Placements: Around 85-90 percent of students get placed. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 3 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 5-6 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are IBM, Tata Consultancy Services, and HDFC Bank. 75 percent of students got internships. Roles like marketing, human resources, finance, and operations are offered here. I have a good learning experience.
Infrastructure: The MBA department has smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, computer labs, and a well-stocked library. Hostel rooms are neat and clean. We get 24x7 water and security facilities. Mess food is hygienic and decent. The canteen, basic medical, and sports facilities are available on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. They provide practical examples. The MBA course curriculum is industry-relevant and supports skills development. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is around 85 to 90 percent. Overall, we get good learning and experience.
