The provisional NEET 2024 answer keys were released on May 30, 2024. NTA released provisional answer keys for NEET along with candidates’ NEET 2024 OMR sheets. Candidates could submit challenges or objections against one or more NEET answer keys till June 1, 2024, 11 AM, by paying a fee of INR 200. The expert committee of NTA analysed the objections and then released the final NEET answer keys. NEET final answer keys have been released for all question paper sets and codes. There is no provision to challenge the final answer keys of NEET.
NEET answer keys refer to the correct answer options for each question. Experts from top coaching institutes released the NEET 2024 answer key for each question paper set and code soon after the conduct of the exam on May 5, 2024. Based on that, test takers can calculate the estimated scores and predict the admission chances.

Q: Â What is the difference between provisional and final NEET answer key?
NEET provisional answer keys are those which are released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), approximately a month after the conduct of the exam. As the term suggests, the provisional answer keys are interim, or may undergo changes, if proven. For this, NTA gives candidates the opportunity to file for objection against one or more questions or answer keys of NEET, by paying a fee of INR 200 per question. NTA also releases candidates' OMR sheets along with the provisional NEET answer keys which can also be challenged. After reviewing the submitted challenges or objections, NTA releases the final answer keys of NEET, which forms the base of computing NEET result. NEET final answer keys are absolute and there is no further opportunity given to challenge against the final answer keys. While the NEET provisional answer keys are available to candidates alongwith the OMR sheets after logging in with their registration credentials, the NEET final answer keys are released on the official websites of NEET and NTA and is available for public viewing.
Q: Â Was there any change in the NEET 2024 final answer key?
Yes, NTA announced that there was one question in the NEET 2024 question paper, which had two correct answer options. Hence, any candidate who had attempted that question and marked either of the answer options, have been given full marks. According to NTA, this year only one NEET answer key challenge was received which was validated. Based on the bonus marking, 44 candidates' scores turned out to be 720 out of 720, leading them to secure AIR 1. However, during the Supreme Court hearing on NEET 2024 petitions, the apex court asked IIT Delhi professor's opinion on this question, and it was opined that the question had only one correct answer option. Accordingly, the bonus marks had to be revoked and candidates who marked any other option apart from the correct one, faced negative marking of one mark. Accordingly, NTA released the revised final NEET 2024 answer keys on July 26, 2024.
Q: Â What will happen if the NEET answer key objections are confirmed to be valid?

Q: Â Who sets the NEET question paper?
Q: Â How many Sets are there in the NEET question paper?
There are generally four Sets of NEET question papers, which are further segregated into six parts. The names of the NEET 2024 question paper Sets and codes are Q, R, S and T. For the NEET 2024 re-exam, the question paper sets were A, B, C and D. The multiple Sets and codes in the NEET question papers ensure that there is no malpractice in the conduct of the exam. The names of the Sets and codes of the regional NEET question papers are different from the English ones. While distributing the question papers of NEET invigilators had to ensure that they did not give the same set question paper to two consecutive candidates. Once candidates are given the NEET question paper by invigilators, they need to check whether the question paper and test booklet, or answer sheet is of the same code. In case of a mismatch, they need to bring the matter to the invigilators notice. In case they submit the NEET test booklet with a different code from that of the NEET question paper, their exam will stand cancelled.
Q: Â Where can I download the previous years NEET question papers?
Q: Â Do all the Sets of NEET question papers carry the same questions?
Although the questions are the same in all Sets of the NEET question paper, the order of the sections and questions vary from set to set. The different order of the sections and questions ensure that there is no malpractice conducted during the exam. Even if some questions are absolutely different in separate Sets or languages, the topics and chapters covered and difficulty level remain similar to ensure normalisation. Hence, it can be said that NTA Sets a common question paper carrying 200 questions, after which the questions are distributed across four Sets and six subsets of the NEET question paper. The subjects, and the questions within the subjects are shuffled for each of the NEET question paper Sets. This allows a parity in terms of topics covered and difficulty level, as well as allows avoidance of malpractice.

NEET Exam Centers 2024
The total number of NEET 2024 exam centres was 4,750, which were located in 557 cities across India and 14 international cities. The NEET 2024 re-exam was conducted in six cities across India. Six exam centres, which hosted NEET 2024 on May 5, were changed. One such centre is located in Haryana’s Jhajjar, from which six test takers scored perfect 720. Moreover, officials from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and Education Ministry will also be present at each centre to monitor the process and ensure a fair conduct of the exam.
This year, a total of 72 cities have been added in India. Originally, NEET 2024 was not slated to be conducted in any of the international cities, but NTA later added the international cities, the same as last year. Registered candidates can opt for international centres during the NEET 2024 application correction window. New applicants can select international cities by selecting the country and city from the dropdown menu in the NEET form.Â
Along with the addition of cities, NTA had removed three cities where NEET exam centres were located last year, Malegaon in Maharashtra, Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh and Rairangpur in Odisha. The NEET 2024 exam centres list or the city list has been released by NTA along with the information brochure. Applicants were given a chance to select two exam cities as per their preference, based on which NTA allotted the NEET 2024 centre.Â

Q: Â How many city preference candidates can submit while selecting the NTA NEET exam centre?
Candidates will be allowed to enter only two cities in the order of their preference. Till 2022, candidates could enter as many as four cities. Last year, NTA reduced the number of exam city choice. The list of exam cities in the dropdown menu will be based on the permanent and present address entered by candidates in the registration form of NEET. This would ensure that candidates are allotted a city in or near their present and permanent address. This also led to reduction in choosing other cities mistakenly.
Q: Â What are the international locations where NEET test centres are located?
Originally, NEET 2024 was not scheduled to be conducted in international cities. However, later NTA announced that NEET will be conducted in 14 foreign cities. NEET test centres in foreign countries are located in cities located across the continents of Asia, Middle East and Africa. The foreign cities where NEET 2024 will be conducted are as follows:
- Kuwait City
- Dubai
- Abu Dhabi
- Bangkok
- Colombo
- Doha
- Kathmandu
- Kuala Lumpur
- Lagos
- Manama
- Muscat
- Riyadh
- Sharjah
- Singapore.
Already registered candidates willing to choose an international city for NEET 2024 will be able to do so during the application correction window and candidates registering afresh will be able to choose their preferred country and city and have to pay the requisite application fee.
Q: Â I want to select English as the language of my NEET question paper. Which city should I choose?
You can choose any exam centre of NEET 2025. English is available at centres across the country. English is a universal language and medium of NEET question paper. The exam city selection option becomes limited once candidates choose a regional language, except Hindi. Apart from the medium of the question factor, the other factor that plays a role in the NEET exam centre city selection is the permanent and present address selected by candidates during the application process.
Q: Â Can I wear half sleeve knee length simple gown in NEET exam?
Yes, you may wear half-sleeve knee-length gown or dress for the exam. However, the outfit should not have any pocket, buttons or embroidery/applique work on it.
