FAQs Regarding NEET 2024 Admit Card

Check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the NEET 2024 Admit Card.

Q:   I have signed on the NEET admit card by mistake. What should I do now?

A:

Candidates will have to sign on the NEET 2024 admit card in presence of the invigilator. This will act as a proof of attendance for the exam day. In case a candidate signs it before that, he/she should discard the document and take a fresh print out and follow the instructions carefully. If a candidate realise this after reaching the exam centre, then they must notify the exam centre authorities and seek for their approval to allow them to appear for the exam. Otherwise, they will have to take a printout of the NEET 2024 from the exam centre or from the vicinity.

Q:   I have posted a photograph on the admit card for NEET 2024. Do I still need to carry a passport-sized photograph on exam day?

A:

Yes, candidates had to carry an extra passport-sized photograph on the day of the examination. This photograph has to be affixed on the attendance sheet in front of the invigilator. The passport-size photograph should be the same as that uploaded during the NEET 2024 application process. However, candidates should not have signed on the photograph that is meant to be pasted on the attendance sheet as per the instruction given by NTA on the NEET admit card. To be on the safer side, candidates are advised to carry more than one passport-size photograph to the exam centre, along with the other permissible items.

Q:   Can I appear for NEET 2024 if I forget to carry my photo ID?

A:

No, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination without a valid photo ID. Candidates are advised to keep the following three things ready with them, a day before the examination; a valid photo ID proof, NEET admit card 2024, and a recent passport-sized photograph. These are the mandatory documents to be produced during entry to the NEET exam centre. The valid photo identity card which would be allowed at the NEET 2024 exam centre include Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter Id, etc. The NEET 2024 admit card should also have the passport and postcard-sized photographs pasted on it.

Q:   Can I put black thumb impression on the NEET admit card?

A:

Candidates will have to put their left-hand thumb impression on the NEET 2024 admit card in the space provided. The thumb impression has to be put on the space provided before reaching the exam hall. NTA has not given any instruction regarding the colour of the ink, hence, if a candidate wishes to put the thumb impression with black ink, he/she can do that. However, test-takers must ensure that the thumb impression is put properly on the NEET admit card and it should match the one uploaded in the application form. Moreover, the ink should not be smudged and the impression of the thumb should not be placed anywhere else on the document except the space provided. Also, candidates must ensure that they put their own thumb impression and not anyone else's. In case there is a difference and NTA finds out about this malpractice, the candidate would be disqualified in NEET and he/she would not be eligible to take part in the counselling process even if they qualify for the exam.

Q:   Will I have to submit my NEET admit card to the invigilator at the exam centre?

A:

No, it is not necessary to submit the NEET admit card to the invigilator before leaving the exam centre. Invigilators check the admit card to validate candidates' attendance. They check the photograph, parents' signature and the self declaration form. Candidates are asked to sign in front of the invigilator, who then compares it with the printed signature on the admit card. Before leaving the exam hall, candidates have to submit their test booklet. They can carry the question paper and the NEET admit card outside the exam hall after the exam completion. However, candidates must keep a couple of extra copies of the admit card with them for their convenience.

Q:   How to check the result of NEET UG without admit card? I have missed my application no and admit card.
