The NEET 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 4, 2025. With less than three months to go for the exam, candidates are advised to maintain the pace of preparation. Although the NEET 2025 syllabus has remained the same as last year, the NEET 2025 exam pattern has undergone major changes. The 20 optional questions in the NEET exam (five in each subject) have been removed this year. This has also resulted in the reduction of the total duration from 200 minutes to 180 minutes.

The Chemistry subject in NEET carries 45 questions out of 180 questions that are to be attempted. Each question carries four marks and there is one mark of negative marking for each wrong answer. The following table shows the exam structure of NEET 2025.

How to Prepare Inorganic Chemistry Chapters for NEET

Students whose weak area is Chemistry are likely to push off the NEET Inorganic Chemistry chapters preparation till the last moment. Rather than shying away from preparing, you must set a foolproof plan and execute it to succeed in NEET 2025. Here we have listed some tips to prepare for the Inorganic Chemistry chapters for NEET.

Clear your concepts first: To excel in any subject or chapter, the first step is to clear the concepts. While completing the NEET syllabus, go through the Inorganic Chemistry chapters. Identify the specific topics or chapters which you are unable to understand properly. Go through the NCERT books and your school textbooks or guidebooks. Even after reading the books you are unable to understand the concepts, take the help of your teachers or seniors.

List down formulas and use flashcards: Formulae comprise an important part of Chemistry. Hence, it is advised that you list down all the important formulas and memorise those. Flashcards are one of the most effective methods for remembering important formulas. Write down the formula on colourful cards or pieces of paper and paste them across your room wherever you frequently lay your eyes.
