The importance of Biomedical Engineers in fast growing health-care industry is now well acknowledged and consequently new career options are available to them in health care industries both nationally and internationally. The Post Graduate Diploma in Biomedical Instrumentation and Health Informatics (PG-DBIHI) programme is designed to mold engineers who can serve in health care industry, as well as in companies dealing with medical equipment. Keeping this aspect in view, C-DAC has designed PG - DBIHI course giving emphasis to Medical equipment, enabling engineers to face challenges in the field of Research and Development, Medical Equipment manufacturing industry, Hospital (Equipment management), Medical equipment standardization and calibration. PG-DBIHI is a 24-weeks programme consisting of different modules. The modules will provide in-depth study of a wide range of medical equipment, with the opportunity for specialisation according to your interests and future career intentions. The expected learning outcome is the acquisition of a wide knowledge of a variety of medical equipment and understanding of concepts in Healthcare informatics. A further aim is to develop your skills in designing and managing the medical equipment.

Graduate in Engineering or equivalent (e.g. BE / BTech / AMIE / in Electronics/ Biomedical/ Instrumentation or related areas, OR
Post Graduate in Engineering Sciences (e.g. MSc in Electronics, etc.)
The candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in their qualifying examination.
