All About CMAT 2027
Common Management Admission Test or CMAT 2027 will be conducted in the third week of January. NTA, the examination conducting body will announce the schedule most likely in the second week of October, 2026. Any candidate who has completed graduation or is in the final year of exam will be eligible for CMAT. It will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, in 124 cities across India.
Being a moderate difficulty level exam, CMAT is a popular choice among MBA aspirants. The test pattern is fairly simple -100 MCQs to be solved in 180 minutes. The syllabus includes English Comprehension, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2027
- CMAT is a PG level exam, so the minimum eligibility criteria is graduation
- Final year graduate students or those awaiting result can also apply
- Candidates having CA/ICWAI/CS or any professional degree equivalent to graduation are also eligible for CMAT
- There is no upper age limit for appearing in CMAT exam
An important point to note regarding CMAT eligibility is that, although only passing marks are required in graduation for appearing CMAT, the minimum score required for full-time MBA course is 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD). Thus, candidates must strive to score a minimum of 50 percent in graduation, if they will to pursue MBA.

CMAT Syllabus 2027
CMAT syllabus includes five subjects. While English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning topics are same as other MBA entrance exams, General Awareness and Innovation and Entrepreneurship subjects are specific to CMAT. CMAT Preparation 2027
CMAT exam preparation requires atleast 6 months of dedicated study. The syllabus of English, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation is same as CAT and XAT so one can prepare for CMAT along with these exams. However, practicing CMAT previous years’ papers and mock tests is crucial. Candidates should practice 25-30 CMAT mock tests in the last two months before the exam to score high.

Once you have submitted the CMAT application form, you cannot edit it. Thus, you will have to fill the CMAT form again by creating a new login ID and paying the fee again. However, if the mistake is in photo, signature or test centre fields, you can correct it at the time of form correction. The CMAT form correction window will be opened for three days after the conclusion of application form submission process.
Since every section of CMAT has 20 questions in total, solving 15 to 18 questions in each section with 80 percent accuracy is considered a good attempt in CMAT, and it can ensure a good percentile in the exam. In the GK section, about 10 to 12 correct attempts will be enough. Out of 100 questions, candidates must try to solve about 70 to 75 questions to achieve a 99 percentile. However, candidates must aim to solve a higher number of questions with maximum accuracy and minimize negative marking. To be able to achieve this target, candidates have to prepare for the CMAT in a disciplined manner. Candidates must set aside about three months to complete the CMAT syllabus, as they have to study five subjects and their numerous topics. If they have appeared for CAT, XAT, and IIFT exams, then they can complete the CMAT syllabus in one month as well. However, it is advised that candidates spend at least three months on CMAT syllabus for complete preparation.
CMAT admit card is released in online mode and can be downloaded through login. Candidates have to visit CMAT-NTA website and log in their account. In the dashboard, they can see admit card download option
CMAT Admit Card 2027 Download Process
CMAT admit card will be released 5 days before the exam. Candidates will have to download it from the official website by following the process given below:
- Visit CMAT-NTA website
- Click on 'CMAT 2027 Admit Card' tab
- Enter application number and date of birth
- CMAT admit card will open on the screen
- Click on download option and save PDF
CMAT Answer Key 2027
NTA will release the CMAT provisional answer key 2-3 days after the exam for candidates to check their correct and incorrect attempts. Given below is the process to download CMAT answer key.
- Open NTA-CMAT website
- Click on 'CMAT 2027 Answer Key objection' tab
- Login with Application Number and Password
- Answer key and response sheet will be displayed
- Click on download and save it
The option to challenge the official answer key will also be given to candidates. They can raise objection against the official answer key by filling an online form and uploading a supporting document.
CMAT Result 2027
CMAT result 2027 will be released a month after the exam. Candidates will be able to download it from CMAT-NTA website. Given below is the process to follow:
- Visit CMAT official website
- Click on 'CMAT-2027 Scorecard' tab
- Enter application number, password and security pin
- Click on 'Submit' tab to open the dashboard

Three months may not be enough for CMAT preparation, if you're doing it from scratch. However, if you are preparing for CAT, XAT, NMAT, you can prepare for CMAT in 3 months as you have clear understanding of the syllabus already and you will need exam specific practice only.
