All About CMAT 2027
CMAT 2027 exam date is February 7, 2027. NTA, which conducts the Common Management Admission Test for admission to over 1300 MBA colleges India, announced the CMAT exam date 2027 on September 16, 2027. The NTA will announce registration schedule later. CMAT 2027 registration process may start in the second or third week of October 2026.
Being a moderate difficulty level exam, CMAT is a popular choice among MBA aspirants. The test pattern is fairly simple -100 MCQs to be solved in 180 minutes. The syllabus includes English Comprehension, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The exam will be conducted in CBT mode in 124 cities across India. Candidates will get to choose a city of their choice for appearing in the exam, in the CMAT registration form 2027. CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2027
- CMAT is a PG level exam, so the minimum eligibility criteria is graduation
- Final year graduate students or those awaiting result can also apply
- Candidates having CA/ICWAI/CS or any professional degree equivalent to graduation are also eligible for CMAT
- There is no upper age limit for appearing in CMAT exam
An important point to note regarding CMAT eligibility is that, although only passing marks are required in graduation for appearing CMAT, the minimum score required for full-time MBA course is 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD). Thus, candidates must strive to score a minimum of 50 percent in graduation, if they will to pursue MBA.

CMAT Syllabus 2027

CMAT Preparation 2027
CMAT exam preparation requires atleast 6 months of dedicated study. The syllabus of English, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation is same as CAT and XAT so one can prepare for CMAT along with these exams. However, practicing CMAT previous years’ papers and mock tests is crucial. Candidates should practice 25-30 CMAT mock tests in the last two months before the exam to score high.
Overall, candidates must start CMAT 2027 preparation from September so that they have enough time to prepare for it extensively. Give first 2-3 months to syllabus coverage anf the rest of it to practice and mock tests.
Candidates must make a plan for CMAT preparation 2027 keeping in mind that they will need to dedicate equal amount to time and effort in all five subjects as they all have same weightage. So, they must make a plan as per their strengths and weakness viz.the CMAT syllabus. GK can be prepared at the last as it is memory based.

CMAT Admit Card 2027 Download Process
CMAT admit card will be released 5 days before the exam. Candidates will have to download it from the official website by following the process given below:
- Visit CMAT-NTA website
- Click on 'CMAT 2027 Admit Card' tab
- Enter application number and date of birth
- CMAT admit card will open on the screen
- Click on download option and save PDF
CMAT Answer Key 2027
NTA will release the CMAT provisional answer key 2-3 days after the exam for candidates to check their correct and incorrect attempts. Given below is the process to download CMAT answer key.
- Open NTA-CMAT website
- Click on 'CMAT 2027 Answer Key objection' tab
- Login with Application Number and Password
- Answer key and response sheet will be displayed
- Click on download and save it
The option to challenge the official answer key will also be given to candidates. They can raise objection against the official answer key by filling an online form and uploading a supporting document.
CMAT Result 2027
CMAT result 2027 will be released a month after the exam. Candidates will be able to download it from CMAT-NTA website. Given below is the process to follow:
- Visit CMAT official website
- Click on 'CMAT-2027 Scorecard' tab
- Enter application number, password and security pin
- Click on 'Submit' tab to open the dashboard

Since every section of CMAT has 20 questions in total, solving 15 to 18 questions in each section with 80 percent accuracy is considered a good attempt in CMAT, and it can ensure a good percentile in the exam. In the GK section, about 10 to 12 correct attempts will be enough. Out of 100 questions, candidates must try to solve about 70 to 75 questions to achieve a 99 percentile. However, candidates must aim to solve a higher number of questions with maximum accuracy and minimize negative marking. To be able to achieve this target, candidates have to prepare for the CMAT in a disciplined manner. Candidates must set aside about three months to complete the CMAT syllabus, as they have to study five subjects and their numerous topics. If they have appeared for CAT, XAT, and IIFT exams, then they can complete the CMAT syllabus in one month as well. However, it is advised that candidates spend at least three months on CMAT syllabus for complete preparation.

You should start practicing Logical Reasoning questions early on in the preparation cycle. Pay attention to the topics from which Logical Reasoning questions are asked in CMAT. Prepare for those type of questions only. For Data Interpretation section of CMAT. You should be well versed with reading tables, graphs and charts correctly. One should dedicate about 4 to 5 hour in a day for CMAT preparation. If you have started CMAT preparation six months before 4 to 5 hours daily will be good. Innovation and Entrepreneurship syllabus of CMAT is not a very difficult section. The syllabus pertains to business studies, economy and entrepreneurship. So, it will not require must time to cover the syllabus. Candidate can dedicate one month to this section towards the end, while preparing for other sections. You can refer to books - Innovation and Entrepreneurship by Peter F. Drucker and Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management by R. Gopal, Entrepreneurship by Robert D. Hisrich and Manorama Year Book by Mammen Mathew.
Application fee for SRMJEEM is INR 1,200. It is to be paid through debit/credit card or net banking. SRMJEEM application form will not be submitted without fee payment.
