International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore does not offer direct admission. Candidates are offered seat in the institute based on their score in the entrance-exam. IIIT Bangalore accepts JEE Main for BTech and GATE for MTech programmes. The institute conducts a test for admission to MSc and PhD courses. Besides, IIIT Bangalore also accepts CAT, CEED, CUCET, TISSNET, etc. for admission to specific courses.

For all other courses, candidates do not require JEE Main score. Mere qualifying JEE Main does not guarantee admission in the BTech programme of IIIT Bangalore. The institute accepts JEE Main, GATE, CAT, UCEED, TISSNET, etc. for admission to specific courses. IIIT Bangalore cutoff list is available after the entrance exams for shortlisting the students. Those with valid scores are ired to apply for the counselling process. Selected candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.
