My college experience with pros and cons.

Placements: I took the Electronics and Communication Engineering course in my B.Tech. as per my brother and relatives' guidance, as they told me that I have a chance of getting a job in core companies and also on the software side. The college brought some core companies like Medha, Moschip, etc.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are okay, but not so excellent. The infrastructure is good, and our college prioritises the environment by planting many trees and plants around the college. The hostel food is decent, and the facilities in the hostel can be improved. The canteen was improved recently, and there is sufficient space for sports and games.

Faculty: The faculty and their knowledge were top-notch. They extend their support to the students beyond the curriculum. They explain everything in a practical way possible. The semester exams are conducted with mid-level difficulty, making it possible to pass for most of the students, and about 80% students pass on the first attempt.

Other: The things I would wish can be improved are that many more core companies should visit my branch, so that ECE students can get placed in their core branch companies. Also, it should provide more industrial exposure to us. Events can be conducted in a larger number than they are now. Campus life is peaceful and good.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and decent with good classrooms, well-equipped labs, libraries, and the hostel has clean rooms and regular maintenance, the food in the mess is average but hygienic. Indoor games are also available for maintaining physical fitness.

Faculty: The faculty that we have are the most experienced and senior faculty. They share not only about the subject but also give us insights about life. The syllabus is pretty good. The exams are moderate, not too tough and not too easy. Overall, it is good.

Other: I am so passionate about IoT. I really like the idea of mixing both hardware and software. The best thing is that we get to know everything both theoretically and practically. Infrastructure: The condition of the washrooms is the worst. The toilets are very dirty and give a very bad smell. The campus is not clean and environment friendly. The hostel rooms are congested. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is tasteless and hygienic.

Faculty: Teachers are quite knowledgeable and qualified. But they are not so helpful and supportive. They only do their formalities with students without any special approach. The teaching quality is acceptable. The semester exams are not difficult if studied properly.

Infrastructure: One of the plus points for our college is the infrastructure and the surrounding environment. The best part is our library; it is one of the biggest libraries in the district. The labs are also good for our educational purpose. The canteen is the best, and the playgrounds are wide enough to play multiple games.

Faculty: In this course, the faculty is very helpful and all are qualified teachers, where we can understand better. The course curriculum is better, and more students are ready to get placed in companies, the semester exams are challenging for students, but it becomes easier to get good grades because of the qualified faculty. The pass percentage is good, and more students are passing.

Other: Personally, I chose this course because I’m more interested in it, and also because I know about this college’s faculty, it is improving year by year, so we can’t judge it by past years. More fests and connections with faculty through activities are increasing.
