Andhra Pradesh EAPCET stands for Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test.  AP EAP CET was previously known as Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test). AP EAMCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).  AP EAMCET is conducted for admission into various professional courses offered in Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a computer-based test (CBT) for admission into the first year of professional courses. The AP EAMCET exam is conducted annually.  The AP EAMCET syllabus is based on the curriculum of Class 11 and Class 12.

It is not necessary to send a hard copy of the AP EAMCET 2026 application form to the concerned authority. The candidates must submit the form only online. It is better to keep a printed copy of the completed application form for the reference of the candidates.

The date of release of the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET application form 2026 is March 2026. The application form will be available on the official website. The application form must be filled out and submitted by the candidates online along with the application fee. The application process included registration, form filling and fee payment. 

There is a minimum education requirement for AP EAMCET 2026.  The candidates must have completed Class 12 or equivalent. A Diploma in engineering is also considered for engineering admission through AP EAMCET 2026.

For Engineering and Pharmacy
Students should be at least 16 years of age as of December 31 of the year of admission. There is no specific upper age limit for candidates applying to the AP EAMCET.

For Agriculture and Medical courses

For Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)

Candidates who appeared for Class 12 or an equivalent exam, with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as the main subjects.
Candidates appearing in the Diploma exam recognised by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.

For Agriculture and Pharmacy courses

There were no official announcements regarding any changes in the AP EAMCET syllabus 2026. The syllabus will be available on the official website soon. AP EAMCET will be conducted in 3 languages: English, Telugu, and Urdu. The candidates who want to take the exam in Urdu can only appear for the exam at Kurnool at the specified exam centres. The question paper will be in Telugu and English in all the other centres. 

No, there is no negative marking in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET exam. For every correct answer, candidates receive one mark, but no marks are deducted for incorrect responses or unanswered questions. This applies to both the engineering and agriculture streams of the exam.

The Andhra Pradesh EAMCET exam consists of a total of 160 questions.

For Engineering candidates, the question distribution is as follows:

Physics: 40 questions
Chemistry: 40 questions
Mathematics: 80 questions

For Agriculture and Medical candidates, the distribution is:

Physics: 40 questions
Chemistry: 40 questions
Biology: 80 questions (which includes both Botany and Zoology)

Candidates have to carry a valid photo ID proof like an Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving license, etc., along with their Andhra Pradesh EAMCET admit card to the exam centre. It is mandatory to take the admit card to the exam centre. The candidates will not be permitted inside the exam centre without the admit card and a valid ID proof. The AP EAMCET result will have the following details

AP EAMCET 2026 counselling registration can be done from July 2026.  The exam date for the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET 2026 exam will be in May 2026. The counselling process of Andhra Pradesh EAMCET includes registration, seat allotment, and filling web options. The conducting authority will activate the links for the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET 2025 registration and web options entry on the dates mentioned. 

The candidates who qualify in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET 2026 examination can participate in the counselling process. The candidates must also fulfil the other eligibility criteria to appear for counselling. The other eligibility criteria are that the candidates must have cleared class 12 or equivalent with 45% marks in group subjects. The reserved category students must score above 40% in group subjects.

Yes, candidates can attend in special situations. The candidates can verify their certificates online. For the Certificate verification, the candidates would enter their hall ticket number and date of birth. In case the candidates find any difficulty during the Certificate verification process, they can visit the nearest service centre. Once the document verification process is completed, the candidate can see the print-verified option.

Candidates from Telangana or any other state can also apply for AP EAMCET, but admission for these candidates is given based on non-local quota rules. 15% of seat allotment in private colleges is allocated for non-local candidates.

Hundreds of Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Colleges in Andhra Pradesh accept the AP EAMCET score. The number of colleges changes every year. The complete list of participating institutes is updated on the official website every year. The list will also include the cutoff score for the particular institute.
