GATE Cutoff for PSU: In India, many Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) companies consider GATE scores for recruitment. Candidates who want to appear in the PSU interview have to get marks above the GATE score for PSU . Apart from this, GATE-qualified candidates can also apply for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Candidates can check the GATE PSU Cutoff and the previous years below. IIT Roorkee released the GATE results on March 19. In addition, NALCO has started Graduate Engineer Trainee Recruitment through GATE 2025 scores.
GATE 2026 is being conducted by IIT Guwahati. Candidates appearing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering must download GATE admit card using their enrollment ID and password.GATE PSU cutoff for the different streams will be different. GATE (ME, EE, CE, CS, IT, Instrumentation, etc.) cutoff for PSU also varies from category to category. Without qualifying the GATE 2025 PSU Cutoff, no candidate can proceed to the interview round. However, it is important to have an idea of the GATE PSU previous year cutoff to target a score in the GATE.

The cutoff is the minimum mark that is required for all candidates to qualify for the exam. IIT Guwahati will announce the GATE cutoff 2026 after the announcement of results.
Candidates can check GATE exam pattern and question distribution of the papers - AR, CY, DA, EY, GG, GE, MA, PH, ST, XH, and XL below -
- General aptitude section carry 15 marks and subject mark consists questions of 85 marks
- Total marks of GATE question paper - 100 marks
- Mode of exam is online and time duration is 3 hours
The GATE 2026 cutoff will be released along with the results or after a few days. IIT Guwahati will announce the GATE 2026 result on March 19. The cutoff will be different for each subject/branch and varies every year. For preparation or planning their dream college/institute, candidates must refer to the previous year's GATE cutoff. Going through the cutoff of the respective branch helps students to understand the difficulty level of the question papers.
The IIT Roorkee conducted GATE 2025 exam. The cutoff for GATE EE (last year) can be checked below -
- cutoff for general category - 25
- cutoff for OBC-NCL or EWS category - 22.5
- and cutoff for SC/ST category was 16.6

No, GATE questions are not exactly repeated. However, the concept, core, and question format may remain the same. Therefore, candidates must focus on concept-building and practice GATE PYQs as many times as possible. In addition, solve mock test paper to improve accuracy and time management.

Yes, GATE has negative marking for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only. In GATE question paper, MCQs will be of one and two marks. Hence, the marking scheme for such questions can be checked below -

Candidates need to graduate from BTech at IIT Dhanbad with a minimum GPA of 8.0 or above to qualify for M.Tech admissions without GATE. Only the candidates who clear BTech from IIT Dhanbad are allowed admissions without GATE into M.Tech at II Dhanbad with the aforementioned score.

No, the GATE 2026 has already been concluded for IIT Dhanbad M.Tech admissions. The GATE 2026 registrations are closed in the month of October. Candidates who have appeared for GATE will need to wait for all merit-lists to be revealed.

The PhD admissions to the Institute Assistantship courses at IIT Guwahati require candidates to appear for the GATE or CEED.
However, PhD admissions to the other categories of PhD courses at IIT Guwahati are not decided on the basis of the aforementioned entrance exams scores.
