CUSAT's main campus is located 1.5 km off National Highway 47 in South Kalamassery. The campus is sprawling over an area of 180 acres. Yes, CUSAT offers a BSc degree to students. Candidates willing to pursue a BSc at CUSAT have to enrol themselves into the Integrated MSc programme offered at CUSAT. The university offers eight Integrated BSc + MSc courses in the full-time mode. The duration of these courses is five years, which is further divided into ten semesters. Candidates successfully completing six semesters of the programme are eligible to exit the programme with a BSc degree. CUSAT conducts CAT (Common Admission Test) for admissions to programmes like Law, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Marine Sciences, Humanities, Science, Medical Sciences & Technology, and Social Sciences and Technology. CUSAT CAT is a computer-based test. The multiple-choice questions (MCQs) are asked in the exam. Candidates can take this test by applying online through the university website. CUSAT admission to Integrated BSc-MSc programme is based on CUSAT CAT score. CUSAT CAT or Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test is a computer-based test conducted for shortlisting aspirants for admission to various courses. After completion of selection rounds, CUSAT releases a rank list based on total marks secured in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects. A separate rank list is released for selected Integrated BSc-MSc specialisation. Based on the rank list, aspirants are called for counselling and document verification round.

Candidates need to complete Class 12 or equivalent with at least 65% aggregate with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the Subjects to apply for BVoc at Cochin University of Science and Technology. There is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate for SC/ ST candidates belonging to Kerala. Hence, candidates can apply for BVoc with 65% in Class 12. However, they also need to pass CUSAT CAT for admission to BVoc programme.

The total tuition fee for BTech in CSE at CUSAT is INR 3.61 lakh. CUSAT CAT is used for BTech course admission. The primary requirements for admission to the BTech Computer Science programme are a Class 12 certificate and an overall percentage of 50% in PCM and 50% in Mathematics. While SEBC students from Kerala State (non-creamy layer category) are entitled toa 5% relaxation in qualifying exam scores, the Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) populations simply need pass marks.

The CUSAT placement report for the Class of 2024 is yet to be released on the official website. However, the media reports have covered the CUSAT placement details for Class of 2024. According to the reports, the the highest and average packages offered so far during CUSAT placement 2024 stood at INR 25 LPA and INR 7.32 LPA,  respectively. Further, the participating recruiters offered over 700 job offers to various courses of the batch 2024. The top recruiters of CUSAT placement in 2024 included ISCO, TCS, Accenture, Air India, IBM, MRF, Ernst & Young, Hyundai, Visteon, Alstom, Zifo, SAP, Reliance Industries, IOCL, Gail,  etc..

The CUSAT BTech Cutoff 2025 was out for all the students belonging to the Home State quota. As per the CUSAT KEAM Cutoff 2025 for the OBC HS category, the closing cutoff ranged from 11609 to 54552, wherein B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most sought-after course with the closing cutoff being 11609 in the last round. CAT is one of the accepting exams for CUSAT MBA admission. There are two types of CAT accepted for MBA. One is CAT conducted by conducted by IIM for admission to MBA programme. The other is CUSAT CAT conducted by Cochin University of Science and Technology. CUSAT CAT is accepted for MBA and other courses except PhD and Diploma programmes. Now the question is, if it is mandatory or not.

No, it is not. Aspirants who have passed KMAT or CMAT can also take admission to MBA programme. Aspirants shortlisted based on the entrance exam score are further evaluated in group discussion and personal interview round.
