    CUSAT- B.Tech experience after covid.
Placements: About 50% of students were placed after the placements had been reduced. The highest package was offered by about 30 LPA. The average package is about 6 LPA. CISCO and Tata are the top recruiters. Many have done internships at various companies and abroad. Electronics engineer, tester, and circuit designer are some of the top roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was fairly good classrooms were decent and the library facility was top-notch. With all the available books and a good learning environment, the labs were well-equipped and had a good standard. Hostels were great and affordable; mess is conducted by students themselves; therefore, the menu is great; emergency medical facilities are present; and a president and doctor are present. All types of sports and official teams are also present.
Faculty: The teachers were qualified; everyone was a PhD holder, and most of them were permanent. They also had great knowledge and provided guidance. The new syllabus is very good, as it focuses on your core subjects from the first year itself and teaches you industry-relevant skills. There are also options to choose from. Semester exams are relatively hard but 90% of students get passed .
Other: I chose ECE as it has a great future. Even with the introduction of AI, ECE will not go away.

Placements: More than 60% of students got placed in this course. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, TCS, Infosys, etc. Training is also conducted for better recruitment.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well-maintained. Laboratories are very good. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled but the speed is not good. There is a decent library but few books are not available. Hostel facilities are good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Few of them are highly qualified from top universities. This college follows the traditional teaching system. The course curriculum is relevant but does not make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are conducted by this university.

College has good faculty members and placements.
Placements: Currently doing B.Tech in Information Technology, and my class consists of 26 students. In my course, 80% of the students got placed. The highest package was 32 LPA, and the minimum was 3 LPA; the average package was 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS and IBM. There are no internship opportunities provided by the college. The top roles in my course are software development, network, and app development.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi present in every block, but the problem is that every Wi-Fi is very slow and hence not usable. All the labs are of good quality, with perfectly working computers; these labs have AC, and the systems are in good condition. Classrooms are of average quality; we have dust boards which may cause dust allergy to some students, and the classes are not equipped with AC. Libraries are of top quality and have a digital system which makes the usage of the library very simple. The hostel rooms are of good quality, but the food is of bad quality; there were instances where insects were found in the food. We have a doctor facility in the college at all times. We have sports teams for football, cricket, coco, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are a great help to students; all of them are qualified faculty members. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant as it covers all the topics required for an IT professional, including all the major programming languages. The semester exams are hard and have a pass percentage of 67%.
Other: I chose this course because I have a great interest in Science and Maths. I like coding and building other web applications, which made me choose this course. The best thing about this course is that all major programming languages are covered. The things I wish to improve about this course are to remove unwanted subjects for IT professionals, like Graphics and Engineering Mechanics, which are unrelated and hence not useful to the students. The events/fests in the college are below average, with only a few events held.
