CUSAT Cutoff 2026: Check CUSAT CAT Course-Wise Cutoff Ranks

Cochin University of Science and Technology CAT Round 1 cutoff 2026 has been released for admission to several UG and PG-level courses for various categories under the Home State and All India quota. 

For the General AI category, the round 1 rank ranged between 13 and 2668. Hence, a good rank would be somewhere around this range. Students who score below 13 would have a better chance of admission.

For the OBC AI category, the same round cutoff varied between 14 and 2717. So, a safe rank would be somewhere around 10 to 2600. Candidates can check the table below to know the round 1 cutoff range for different AI and HS quota categories. 

A rank of 1200 in CUSAT CAT can get you admission at this institute in the first round  but to less preferred BTech courses. For the General AI category, a total of 9 BTech course branches were available for this category. Students can refer to the table below to know the round 1 closing ranks for all availble courses in the first round. Please know that other rounds, categories, courses, specialisations, etc will have different cutoffs. 

Yes, CUSAT considers Class 12 score for admission to UG courses. Aspirants need to qualify a minimum of Class 12 to apply for a UG course at CUSAT. Below are some of the CUSAT UG programme along with their Class 12 requirement:

B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) – 4 years, 90 seats

B.Tech in Information Technology (IT) – 4 years, 90 seats

 Eligibility (for both CSE & IT)

Must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics

General category: 50% marks in Mathematics, and 50% in PCM aggregate  Kerala SC/ST: Passing marks are enough  SEBC (Kerala, non-creamy layer): 5% relaxation—so 45% in PCM/Maths 

Age limit: Generally no strict upper age for general B.Tech

CUSAT Kochi offers BTech course to students at the UG level. It is offered for 4 years in several specialisations. To be eligible for BTech at CUSAT Kochi, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the college. Candidates must be Class 12 passed of the state of Kerala or any other examination accepted as equivalent there to with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects with at least 50% marks separately and 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SEBC candidates of Kerala).
