As per the data available, the closing cutoff rank for CUSAT CAT ranges between 4 and 124 for the General category students. • Aspirants who have passed a bachelor's degree in any subject with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SEBC candidates of Kerala State who are certified as belonging to non-creamy layer) can apply for MBA programme.

Yes. The Non-GATE entrants can take admission with a valid Department Admission Test (DAT) score or ‘A and B’ exams score conducted by the Institution of Engineers (India). Candidates can apply for the DAT exam by visiting the CUSAT website.

Candidate must have passed in BCA or Bachelor's in Computer Science Or BSc/BA/BCom with Mathematics in Class 12 with 50% aggregate or BVoc Data Analytics programme offered by CUSAT. Applicants belonging to Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) require minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination to apply.

As per the latest cutoff 2023 data available, the closing rank for the MBA course at CUSAT is 83. Cochin University accepts management aptitude tests such as CAT, CMAT, KMAT, CUSAT CAT, MAT, and KMAT KERALA for admission. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the course is that the candidate should have a bachelor degree in any discipline with 50% aggregate. The marks obtained in the aptitude test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) in the ratio of 70:15:15 are considered for selection. There are 120 regular seats available at CUSAT for the MBA programme.

CUSAT conducts CAT (Common Admission Test) for admissions to programmes like Law, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Marine Sciences, Humanities, Science, Medical Sciences & Technology, and Social Sciences and Technology. Candidates need to complete Class 12 or equivalent with at least 65% aggregate with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the Subjects to apply for BVoc at Cochin University of Science and Technology. There is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate for SC/ ST candidates belonging to Kerala. Hence, candidates can apply for BVoc with 65% in Class 12. However, they also need to pass CUSAT CAT for admission to BVoc programme.

Yes, CUSAT conducts Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test for providing admission to Integrated BSc-MSc courses. Based on CUSAT CAT result, rank list is prepared after completion of CUSAT CAT. The CUSAT CAT examination is a computer-based test (CBT) test conducted for a duration of 3 hours. The syllabus of CUSAT CAT includes chapters and topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics that are relevant from the examination point of view. Candidates aspiring to pursue M.Tech from CUSAT shall have BE/BTech/Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum 60% aggregate. The selection is further done by the university committee basis on the applicant’s score in the qualifying examinations (GATE/CUSAT DAT).

CAT is one of the accepting exams for CUSAT MBA admission. There are two types of CAT accepted for MBA. One is CAT conducted by conducted by IIM for admission to MBA programme. The other is CUSAT CAT conducted by Cochin University of Science and Technology. CUSAT CAT is accepted for MBA and other courses except PhD and Diploma programmes. Now the question is, if it is mandatory or not.
